Japanese Trapdoor Snail - 10 Pack

Q: Are these actually blue/green?

Mine aren't, I've had 2 batches. The fully grown snails are around 0.5 inch diameter, and plain looking. Whitish shell, some brown, gray stripes. They are good cleaners, and are hardy (outdoor) w/o overbreeding. Just not especially pretty.

Q: Is there any way to get only one jts? if you know of someone who sells them in packs of 1 we would love to hear about them!

I would try places like petco for them if you only want 1. You will be pretty hard pressed to find anyone outside of that offering single snails on the internet, and their is the risk it does not make it so they offer them as a package deal. If your looking for the snails to be janitors though you will need more then one depending on the tank or pond size you have

Q: How do you tell if the snails are alive?

If the snail lays in one spot for several days take him out of the tank and smell it. If it smells bad it's dead.
