Good quality item, versatile, pleasantly surprised by performance and ease of use.
Great value for the money, the 1st. one I bought performed so well I bought this 2nd. one right away. Good quality construction with sturdy frame. LED side appears to have a clear conformal silicon coating which I suppose is meant for moisture protection, but doesn't adversely affect optics. Nice extras, like the wide ranging pulley system for height adjustment. Shipping container well thought out to protect item during transit.

Great for seed starting or indoor greenhouse cabinets/tents
Unlike most other reviewers here, I didn't buy these to use in a tent. I wanted good quality led panels for use on a wire rack system for seed starting. I landed on these because they were the only-well reviewed panel I could find which came in the necessary dimensions. I purchased the largest size (11" x 39.4") because it would fit between the upright legs of my wire rack and extend slightly beyond the length of each 3 foot shelf. I purchsed 3. After seed starting I will use these for a planned indoor greenhouse cabinet build that will house my anthurium collection. The build quality of these is excellent and the mechanical output adjustment works well. I started some Jerusalem Artichoke and Apios tubers early this season. I had planned to store them until spring but it became obvious that they were not going to survive until then if I didn't get them planted (They were shriveling and many had become soft with areas of decay). They've been planted in nursery pots about 2 weeks now and the largest plants are already about 6 inches tall. They're going to be blooming by the time they can be planted outdoors at this rate! I've just started my first early seedlings (snapdragons) and will update how well they work for that purpose at a later time. They do get warm, but not so hot that they burn if touched. 3 panels in my 9' x 12' mudroom keep the space warm enough that I won't need heat mats. If you're looking for quality led panels, these appear to function well and are a good value for the price.

Have to say I am impressed with the coverage of this grow light.
I have to say I am impressed with this grow light. I have a large 2-room basement that I grow almost all of our vegetables and herbs year-round. I have quite a few larger LED lights that are primarily from one other popular grow light provider. When I bought this light, I needed something that would cover a 5' x 3' shelving unit with 2 shelves. Generally, a light that is advertised as covering a 5' x 3'-foot area realistically covers only a 4' x 2'-foot area sufficiently, but the most consistent lighting covers 4' x 3'. After I installed this light on one of my 5' x 2'-foot shelves with 2 shelves, I couldn't believe how bright it was, and the lighting actually covered the entire length and width of the shelf. After testing the lighting with a Par meter which measures usable light for plants, I had to turn the light down to 75% so the light was not too bright as to cause CO2 problems with my plants. I plan to replace some of my shelf lighting for the 5' x 2'-foot shelves since I don't need an additional light to cover the end of the shelf and this light covers the 24" width of the shelves. So, what do I really like about these plant lights? 1) They actually almost cover the area advertised. 2) These lights are dimmable, so they can be dimmed for taller or young plants and can be used at full strength for smaller plants that need more or less light. On my shelf, the light is 13" above the plants, and I have the light set at 50% for a PAR reading of 742. 3) When using on shelves, the lights can be hung at the top of the shelf and lighting can be regulated by using the dimmer rather than having to adjust the height of the light. There is also the option to hang the lights with the supplied pulleys. 4) The lighting from this fixture seems to penetrate the plant canopy much better the the previous light I was using. This allows more light to foliage under the upper leaf canopy. 4) This light works well with a timer. 5) This light has a 9' power cord that will reach most electrical outlets. 6) There is no noise at all from the fan. 7) So easy to use once it is set up. Considerations for setting up this plant light: 1) The on/off switch and the plug for power are located on the top of the fixture and in the middle of the fixture. When using on a shelving unit, allowances for the electrical plug and on/off switch must be made to allow distance from the shelf it is hung on for accessibility. For use on a shelf, this light would be more flexible if the plug and switch were on an end of the light rather than on the top. 2) Hang the light so the dimmer at the end of the fixture is easily accessible. Again, I am very impressed with this plant light and will likely buy more of them to replace lights that I now have on some of my shelves. I realize these lights aren't cheap, but really you get what you pay for. These lights have a 3-year warranty and will hopefully last a long time. I will definitely update this review if my opinion changes. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Works better than Spider farmer and Mars by far!
I purchased a couple of the spider farmer lights with the Samsung LEDs after I had the mars hydro light for about a year or so. all of them the smaller 100W variants. Reading around and doing research, looking at product reviews endlessly- exhaustively trying to make the best choice. The mars light after 2 grows ( short grows with autos) 1/4th of the panel failed. Support was responsive but in the end wanted me to pay for a new light with a 20 percent off discount, this is well within their warranty period. The build quality seemed sub-par after getting the spider farmer lights. In the end, the mars light ran really hot ( I had no idea) and heated up a 6'x6' space to the point of needing excessive ventilation. The Spider farmer lights have a good quality feel and build quality and ran MUCH cooler, to the point It was about 90% less ventilation required. I went with them due to the name brand LED ( samsung) lights as everything pointed to them being much better. Overall after receiving THIS light, It kind of put it all into perspective for me. This 240W light outperforms (3) of the 100W lights from Spider farmer BY FAR. It also runs much cooler and is insanely bright, the plants love it! Overall, I am not going to pretend I know anything about the differences in the brands of LEDS and all of that. I do know that these " no name" LEDS on this unit are far superior in terms of cost and performance in comparison to the Samsung bulbs from my perspective. I get much deeper penetration growth, less stretching and much denser "fruit" in the exact same conditions. It's kind of shocking actually. The build quality of this unit is fantastic, the way it hangs and the lower heat it puts off, all of it down to the mean well driver they use. It does run hotter than the Spider Farmer lights, but the plants seem about "50%" more happy with this light. Maybe that is the difference, the efficacy of the light corresponds to the power wasted as heat, I am not sure. But for 240 watts at $130, compared to 300 watts of Spider farmer at $220, the spider farmer loses for sure. The only real thing I cannot attest to is the warranty/support of this brand or spider farmer, as well as the useful life of the products. time will tell, but overall I am glad I am not falling for the " hype" of "name brand" LED units. I see the results, I feel the results, I weigh the results on a scale. These units work fantastic, even better than the higher priced " name brands". Sorry mars and Spider Farmer but I think at this point all you have going for you is your name and all of the hype around the " Samsung" LED's. If I can pay half the price for twice the light and "fruit", I don't see why you couldn't either.

Gets the job done at a reasonable price..
Not a bad light for the price. I own multiple higher end LED grow lights, but needed something smaller for a small tent I used to overwinter some outdoor plants in my garage. This light worked very well. It's nothing fancy but the dimming switch works well and the light gets the job done.. Would recommend for someone looking for a decent light at a good price.

LOVE THIS LIGHT!!
I absolutely LOVE this light. I tried the cheap lights and they need to be an inch away from the plant or seedlings for them to get any light they need. So you would have to have several different lights to make sure each plant or seed tray gets good light. So I did research and found this, plus it was on sale. I love that it has different light levels and a 2 x 2 area gets light from over 12 inches away!! I actually had to turn down the light a notch because it was too intense for my little plant babies and I couldn’t raise the light anymore with our set up. I would recommend this to anyone and love it. It also comes with everything you need to set it up. It does put out quite a bit of heat so you will probably want to put a fan nearby for airflow. It also seems like VERY good quality and my plant babies have grown a ton with it. As you can see I have a tiny fan hanging down to the left of the light, it’s perfect for airflow and making the plants stronger. It’s just a very light breeze.

Just Buy It
I bought grow lights from Barrina and SANSI (some of the common budget recommended grow light brands) for helping my indoor plants with poor sun exposure grow stronger and healthier. They worked fine and are definitely better than nothing, but the growth I've gotten in the 3 months I've had the VIPARSPECTRA grow light has been far and above the best. I put 2 spider plants under this, each in small 3.5'' nursery pots that had been showing minimal growth in about the 2 years they had spent hanging on to life at the back of my dark office, about 3 months ago. In 3 months they have exploded and have grown literally 500% more in that time than they had in the past 2 years, with each of them putting out strong and healthy shoots that are absolutely covered in spider plant babies. I have a smaller monstera also under this light that has put out highly fenestrated leaves every couple weeks since moving it, and a notoriously fickle calathea that has been much healthier and growing strong since using this light as well. The panel is solid and clearly of a higher quality and build than the cheap plastic you'll find in most grow lights under $100. The one and only complaint I have is that, for use as a house plant grow light, it's a bit of a double edged sword. You get insane growth but it's SO bright even on the lowest setting that having it directly in your eye line will sear your retinas like tuna steaks. This means you either have to position it lower than your line of sight or have some means of blocking it. I have it positioned such that it isn't a problem, but it also means I'm obstructing my own view of the beautiful plants growing beneath it. I wish there was a solution that allowed for some sort of reflector/hood/shade that would hang beneath the panel to obscure and soften the light when viewed from anywhere other than directly below it. I actually just bought some lamp shades that may work for this purpose with some slight modification and will update this review in case it helps anyone out. In short, just buy it. Especially if you're growing in a tent or area where you need more function than form in a grow light, this thing is a beast and for the price I don't imagine there is anything that can match it.

Fantastic light!
So, my home was not blessed with sunny windows. However, my wife and I really want plants. We currently have 5....yes....5. P1000s. And will probably buy more. These lights are AWESOME. The color isnt that aweful pink. It looks just like the other lights in the house, which was a big deal for me. This is the upgraded one. YES, it can be turned off without unplugging it (something all the reviews on youtube complained about not having). All my plants under these lights are giving explosive growth. Vibrant color, and flowering. (Nepenthes, philodendrons, begonias, Persian shields, Orchids, theres a bunch. And i only run them at about 40 or 50%) I dont have anything bad to say about these lights. If your on the fence. BUY IT. They are really awesome. And the price is fantastic compared to other lights in its class.

Reliable LED Light
Used this light for over a year now (purchased in January 2022). The included light raising/lowering cords and lock work well. Light runs relatively cool compared to CMH or HPS lights and the aluminum cooling fins seem to work well/easy to clean. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy again. I have replaced other lights (fluorescent) with this more efficient unit. The growth response was great after switching to this. Much higher build quality than other LED lights I have tried. Seems like ViparSpectra used higher quality components compared to other brands. I ran this light in an enclosed tent for 3 months (but it was undersized except for approx the 3 by 3 ft in the center, so I switched to a higher powered CMH light for full tent coverage). I used it in a heated garage for 6 months for over-wintering some plants. I have used the dimmer feature and an external timer and everything has worked flawlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend this light. This positive review was not sponsored in any way.
