These are high quality pads, hence the price. But they're really made for a walk behind grinder/polisher as they require some machine weight to work effectively. I use a hand held planetary grinder/polisher and because it has little weight to it (even with me bearing down on it) and these pads have so much less surface area than the cheaper pads, the combination of the two results in less contact, which requires many more passes than with pads that have far more surface area. These do seem to "grab" more and again, they are of high quality so I can't fault them and will give them 5 stars. But again, you need a heavier machine to get ideal results from these pads. For a hand held floor or countertop grinder/polisher, you're going to be better off with the cheaper pad sets that certainly won't last as long but will get the job done with far fewer passes required.

Great product. polished 1600 sqft of terrazzo floors up to 800 grit before acrylic coating. I used 3 pads on the floor buffer and they barely show any wear. Buy the thinner ones if your just doing a countertop but these thick ones are great for floors or a million counters. Only complaint is the Velcro is wearing out on a couple of pads. I'm sure it's from me not so carefully switching them between the floor buffer and small sander for corners. Also suggest wetting your floor or counter for awhile to let clean water soak into the cement before polishing. Some grits the rubber is colored which is a little scary seeing pink slurry on your white floors but as long as it doesn't soak it it wetvacs up fine.

I am a concrete contractor and do some polishing a few times a year, maybe 50k SF or so. I have bought quite a few sets of the 200 grit pads. I was very impressed with these, they took out the 100g scratches nicely and wore really well. I used them dry, wet may cause rapid wear. I will be buying more.

On the plus side.. these arrived totally diff in configuration and color than those imaged. Besides the obvious of being white instead of the black as in the ad... the overall configuration is also more-so stronger in appearance. aka provides more surface area contact.

Looks well built, but after first use it cracked in multiple places. I would not recommend.

They worked very well to prep for a coating and lasted a very long time only used 6 pads and they still looked new couldn't believe it. A great product.

The description of this product is misleading. Every picture shows 3 pads and all of the reviews that I read referred to more than one pad. I received only 1 but was expecting 3.
