Perfect for my 8 year old daughter at 15 pound draw weight
I’m am big into archery and purchased this bow to get my 8 year old daughter into it also. This bow is perfect for her. Turned it down to 15 pounds and took it to bass pro to have nocks added. The nocks keep the finger savers in place and must be it the right location at all times. Bass pro did this for free and also verified the drawn weight by putting it on their scale. It was not easy for her to pull back at first, but she is slowly developing the necessary muscles. First day she shot 4 arrows and got tired. Next couple days about 10 arrows. She’s now up to about 20 arrows after one week of practice and consistently hitting the target. She isn’t using the sight. I’m preparing her for bowfishing which typically doesn’t use sights. I believe it’s called instinct shooting. I would highly recommend this bow!

Starter bow
Great starter bow for my soon to be 7 year old daughter. She doesn't have any issues with drawing it. I highly recommend this product especially at this price point.

Good Product And Value With Limitations
For the money, and for a kid, this is a decent starter bow. Be advised, the draw is short, and cannot be lengthened. We purchased better arrows, with practice tips. The ones provided are dull, and don't stick real well in our targets, but are definitely usable. I don't have equipment to measure pounds of pull, but it is adjustable. Ours came with an attachable quiver. There is an adjustable pin sight, but it is a little cheap/awkward. No peep sight. Since it is a single strand string, I don't think you can add one. I put a dab of white on the string, where the peep would be. In a year or so, I'll upgrade, if my grandson still enjoys shooting. Right now, he can't/won't pull the 30# most bows come with.

good bow, but no adjustment possible and arrow fletchings arrived bent
good bow, sturdy, built to endure abuse but no weight/length adjustment possible (if it fits your kid great if not then live with it) and fletchings arrived bent on both arrows (it can be fixed with a little steam from a kettle in 5s)

Great
We bought two of these for our Boys, The 10 year old has no problem drawing the bow however he preferred I let the pull off to about 20 lbs. The 8 year old has a little trouble drawing at 15 lbs but is getting better at it. The build quality is Good, what you would expect from Bear. They are a little on the heavy side. These bows come with two 26" arrows you may want to pick up extras. I ordered 28" fiberglass practice arrows and they work fine. There is no way to weave a sight into the string because it is coated, I wound some thread around the string instead. For a children's bow this thing has some power. Definitely not a toy that you turn your kid loose with without a little instruction and at least minimal supervision.

Specifications are flat out lies.
I should have listened to the poor reviews, but the number of good reviews made me give it a try. I bought this for my 7 year old's birthday because with a 5-25 lb draw as advertised, it would assuredly work well for him. His entire birthday was centered around this, with targets, arrows, and other necessities given as gifts, and we planned to spend the rest of the day shooting. Unfortunately, he couldn't draw it at the lowest setting, and they say was a major disappointment. Turns out that the published specifications on the listing and packaging are nowhere near reality, and directly conflict with the manual. The actual measured draw weight ranges from 16.5-19.5lbs. Even the manual says that adjustment is only about 1–2 pounds per full turn, both limb bolts must be adjusted equally, and each limb bolt should not be backed out more than 1 full turn; so why does the packaging say 5-25lbs? Turning the bolts out more than 1 full turn results in slack in the string at rest, so it really isn't possible to adjust it more than a single turn, which yields just a few pounds of difference. The draw length is also advertised as 13.5-19.5 inches, even though it is not adjustable. They claim that because it supposedly has 6 inches of travel after letoff, but in reality it has about 2 inches of travel after letoff. The marketing materials flat out lie about the specifications for this bow. It would probably work for an older kid, but beware that it is not nearly as adjustable as claimed, and be ready to send it back.

Great youth beginners bow!!
This is a great beginners bow for kids 8-12! I do like the bristles to help align the arrow with the string. Not a lot to change or tweak, it was great right out the box... My only negative complaint is you’ll need a better arm guard. The one this one has is very cheap. Be sure to buy more arrows as well! My kid loves it and was impressed on the distance the arrows can go!!!

Got this today at my front door and was really exited to open it. It came with 2 small and 1 large arrows which im really happy about. Played around with it and got the feel of it. Really happy with the boxing as well. If you'r a biggener this is deffinitely the best compound bow to get. Pros - good biggener bow - comes with arrows Cons - a little small and wish there were different sizes to choose from
