Can it be used to make different sized burgers? what size (s) does it make?

They can make 1/2 lb burgers. When stuffing, we use just a little bit less to hold the all the goodies inside the patty.

How much meat does one burger usually consist of? Are we talking 1/2lb or 1lb or what?

I would suggest total burger weight (not counting filling) of about 6 to 7 ounces. Any larger and you will overfill the press, while smaller won't fully seal in the filling so it may leak when cooking.

What is this press made of? Plastic? Metal?

The burger press is made from heavy duty BPA FREE plastic.
