Finally Serious Heat as Advertised
Nice and spicy! After running through a few bottles of supposedly higher scoville units that were just not that spicy to me, I decided to purchase this known quantity and it did not disappoint. I had previously purchased the silver edition about 10 years ago and it had a very good kick to it so I figured the gold edition would definitly satisy my desire for serious heat.

Extremely Hit and Tasty
This stuff is very hot - not for use by sensitive people. A little bit goes a LONG way and it has a great, unique taste. Use at your own risk - I have been for several years.

Pure Heat that doesn't taste like ass
Coming in at 1,000,000 Scovilles this sauce is the real deal. I love spicy food and I've been building up my collection, but this is one of my favorites. It's definitely a keeper and one I plan on getting again. It comes with a little novelty keychain as well. It's a little bullet that unscrews into a tiny little spoon. Not much to say about it, but it looks cool and is a nice little thing to keep. Not going to lie though I can't really find a discernable flavor while eating this, but instead I what I can tell you is that it doesn't taste like crap at least. Comparing it to other hot sauces at this range most of them have the heat, but a seriously bad aftertaste. This is clean pure heat with not strings attached. It'll burn your entire mouth, but hey at least you aren't gagging. (From the taste anyways)10/10 I will be buying this again. Good clean heat without the insanely (bad) flavor. Neat little key chain as a bonus.

Already had it, and loved it, but then shared it with coworkers...
We are all of us individuals, and that includes us 'chili heads'!Those brave enough, or crazy enough, to try this sauce had differing opinions, though all agreed that it was HOT!One thought it was smokey, one thought it was sour, and the third thought is was pure heat, and one, well, he said 'meh', not that hot all, though it was not tasted in my presence, so we shall see next week when I bring in the truly hot Mad Dog choices, up to, and including Plutonium, and rest assured, I shall be witness to that sampling...Myself, I think it is a bit less 'sweet', than the regular Mad Dog 357, but with obviously more heat within the onset, and more lasting, but still a great tasting sauce, within mine own opinion, and can mix it with lesser heat sauces to 'improve' the kick, but not overwhelm the taste of those such as my personal everyday, everyday sauce, Cholula...I fully recommend ANY Mad Dog product with the following warning...try a very small sample, i.e., the quarter inch of a toothpick to sample, before you choose to start dumping drops and drops onto something you are going to eat, for two reasons....One, this may be more sauce than you think you can handle, and two, why ruin a meal when you cannot partake of what you have 'sauced'?Good luck, and happy saucing!

Bright, Lime-Vinegar, lightly sweet sauce... with a truck-load of pleasant mouth-filling heat
First off, 4 stars from me is usually as good as it gets. 5 stars is reserved for some life-changing thing that I can now no longer live without. And while this is a tasty sauce, it doesn't quite hit that level. But it's still worth getting if you like Spicy Sauces. Even if you're a purist who doesn't normally like extracts, try this one. It's legit tasty. For those wondering about the heat, yes, this sauce brings heat, but I disagree with anyone saying it's overpowering. I get a LOT of flavor out of this and in no way does the heat overwhelm that.As for flavors... To me, this is what would happen if Melinda's Hot Sauce took it up about 1000 notches on the heat index. It's a nice lime/vinegary, bright, lightly lightly sweet flavor... that also packs some serious mouth filling heat. It's not over the top heat, at least, to me. But what I think what people are reacting to is the immediacy of the heat (which is just a byproduct of using an extract) because it comes on fast and basically stays put at the level it initially hits you. Lingers well (minute or two) and repeated tastings do build up a bit, but I tend not to find it overbearing.Used so far on:- Back of the hand taste test (I do this with all sauces)- Reheated Potato and Leek Soup- Avocado and Smoked Ham Sandwhich- Tortilla ChipsIf you like very hot sauces (on the level of a Dawson's Ghost Pepper or Sichuan, or a Reaper Squeezin's) I'd give this one a try. If you've never had a very hot sauce before... I think I'd still recommend it. It's tasty, not over the top hot, the heat doesn't linger around forever, and it's versatile as a food additive if you need to dilute it out a bit. I prefer it to ALL of the Dave's Gourmet line up, and a lot of the "OH MAN THIS IS GONNA HURT YOU" type hot sauces.

🔥 It really stings! 🔥
This spicy food isn't just for show. Just one drop is enough to feel the fire. If you like real spice, this is the one for you. Recommended only for the brave!

Hot but bitter aftertaste
Very hot and spicy as advertised. Smothered a large chicken breast in it and ate it. Mouth was on fire, however the aftertaste was not so great. Lots of bitterness. Bitterness does not linger long.
