Easy to change and keeps my pet’s water clean
This filter works well to leep my dog’s water clean. Other filters I have used the water has started to smell in the fountain in less than a week. Since switching to this brand the water is much cleaner snd isn’t smelly even when it is time to change the filter. Worth the price.

I wish they were reusable. Blocks out dog hair and dirt and anything in the water not healthy. Will continue buying

Last a decent amount of time
These these are for an extra large Electric water dish. I have a dog that's a heavy drooler and I'm surprised how well these filter out the drool.

Filters have water absorbing beads in them to clog them faster
It seemed like I was going through filters like crazy. Like within 3 days the pump would start starving for water because it couldn't get through the filter fast enough. So me being me a took the filter housing apart and wanted to see what the filter media was. So it has an outer woven cloth like most filters do for large particles. That's wrapped around a small bag filled with what I though was just charcoal. After moving the media around I felt something spongy and soft. So I cut the pouch open and found these gelatinous beads mixed in with the charcoal. They bind together and create a tight seal that water can't get through. Hence you would think your filter is clogged and needs replacement. The pics I included show the beads all bunched up in the charcoal. To me this seems like shady buisness practices. As a father of 4 that changed many diapers the beads in this filter are very similar to the ones that I've found in diapers. Kinda weird if you ask me. Why would you put a water absorber in with the charcoal unless you were trying to take advantage of people. The fountain is awesome. Filters I will never buy again. I will make my own.

Water doesn't go thru them
I'm not sure what is inside them but tried 2 different filters and the water doesn't flow thru them. Luckily I noticed it before my pump died from lack of water.
