Beautiful way to teach diversity through our homes
This is such a beautiful book to teach diversity to young children in a tangle way; how we all make different homes in different places. I loved all the extra details behind the flaps and the illustrations are lovely. I think it might be too wordy for my 3-5 year olds as a large carpet group, but I can see it working for more attentive small groups of students or for use in the home or with a smaller number of children.

What a cute/informative book!
I bought this book for my 6 year because I knew it’d be something he’d find interesting. (Plus what kid doesn’t love flaps) little did I know it’s actually educational and includes facts about how other people live around the world! What a bonus lol. Highly recommend for littles as a tool for learning about different cultures!

Exactly what I was look For!!
This book is perfect for bringing my younger children into our cultural studies this school year!! I would buy others if they made them with the subjects; vehicles around the world, foods around the world, schools around the world! I love the lift the flaps and the words are right on with being interesting for littles. Thank you!

Mostly good but evolution referred to
This book is interesting and fun, but amazingly, dinosaur fossils and millions of years are referred to on a page about living underground.

My kindergarten class loves this book!
I used it to read aloud for a "many kinds of homes" unit and they love it! Perfect for read aloud--most 5-6 year olds can't read it independently but there are lots of little flaps to explore.
