We own three of these lighted magnifying glasses that come in handy for that small, small print. It is wide, lighted brightly, and comfortable in the hand. It has a nice heft/weight - it uses 3 batteries that last us about a year. One for the kitchen, one for the sewing studio, a workbench, and one for the office - used frequently. Wish they came in different colors so if they get out of place, we'd know which room it belongs. We use an indelible silver mark to write down the room to which it belongs.

I use this turned out to be the best hand held magnifying glass I've ever owned. The light ring is LED and must sip power as the batteries I installed to begin with are still supplying power. And I use this thing a lot.

I have been using this now for over 6 months and it is perfect for my needs. With this magnifier, I can read the tiny print without squinting and feeling like I'm at the optometrist office trying to read the bottom line without my glasses. I don't understand why so many instructions and coupons and even some magazines will use a font size that is less than 8 point. Perhaps the printers are trying to save paper or hide what is written. I got an instruction leaflet for another product recently and I couldn't even figure out which section was written in English because the type size was so tiny, until I reached for this magnifier which I keep close by my desk. I have not noticed any distortion or problem with the lens clarity. The batteries that I put in 6 months ago are still working. I had no problem installing the batteries or getting it to work. The battery cover fits well and is easy to get on and off. The amount & quality of light is perfect. The light switch is easy to click on and I like that it stays lit until I push the light switch again to turn if off. Be aware that this is fairly heavy, and the lens section is heavier than the handle so I would imagine that it gets uncomfortable/awkward to use for long periods like when reading a book. But it works well for my uses and it was well worth the cost.

I’m so glad I bought this! I’ve hesitated for months because of the negative reviews but finally decided to take a chance. Now that I have it, I don’t understand any of the negativity. I do a lot of paint-by-numbers that have multiple small areas that are difficult to paint. Sometimes it’s impossible to read the paint numbers on the canvas because they’re so small. I tried jewelers’ glasses but they weren’t comfortable since I had to have my face about 2 inches from the canvas before the print was clear, causing unbearable neck pain. This magnifying glass is perfect. The glass needs to be close to the canvas - not my eyes. Some reviewers don’t believe this is 10x the magnification- they say it’s only 4x. I totally disagree. I have glasses that are 4x the magnification, and the print isn’t even close to being as big as it is with this magnifying glass. In fact, this glass shows me just how much of any given area I’m missing when I paint. I’m really impressed with the magnitude, and the light is a welcome bonus. I can paint at night without having the overhead lights on. I can see the numbers so well, I grabbed a prescription bottle and was amazed at how big and illuminated the print on the bottle is. No more straining - like with my reading glasses - to read the fine print. It’s such a pleasure not having to squint. I highly recommend this magnifying glass for anyone who does fine, detail work or struggles reading prescription bottles, warranty information, serial and model numbers on electronics, appliances, etc. Using this magnifying glass will make your life so much easier. I wish I’d bought this months ago.

This was purchased for my elderly mother. She struggles with reading and we have purchased several magnifying glasses, but this is certainly the best. It is light in weight and very bright, making it very easy for her to use. To day she started a puzzle, the first time in a long time.
