Doesn't look cyan, doesn't set at all
This is the worst hair dye ever. We did my hair with this and left it in for the maximum recommended amount of time. After washing the dye out, my hair was barely tinted blue/green. Words cannot describe how disappointed I am. Stick to Manic Panic.

Meh.
Entirely too thick to work with, so it took three tubes for my fairly short hair and tons of time trying to work it in. I previously lightened to a 9, and I still barely got any color, and what I did, was NOT cyan. Disappointed, but not all dyes work for everyone!

It works if you work it....
This is a good, vibrant hair color, but be prepared to work a bit. First - know how to dye your hair. It seems like a simple thing, but I keep reading reviews here where people do things like due and then immediately shampoo - then they are surprised when the color washes out! Many of the ion colors will last much, much longer than Manic Panic - these are semi-permanent and MP is not. First, bleach your hair. Are you already blonde? Bleach your hair. Why? Because every little bit of color blends. If you are a natural blonde and buy the Cyan color it's going to come out green (yellow in your hair plus the blue makes green). If you want the color on the box you need a blank palette! That's basic primary school art... The closest to white your hair is, the more pure the color will be. Bleaching also opens the hair cuticle to receive the hair color. It is necessary. 90% of people will also need to use a toner of your under color will show through. That's that brassiness you will see after bleaching - don't bleach again, you need to use a toner to get that out. Again - if your hair isn't white, the color won't be right. Hmm- that's a good little poem to remember... Ok. This stuff is like paint. Doesn't smell bad. Difficult to apply by yourself on a large area. I colored my daughters whole head and let the colors set for 2 hours. Then rinsed and conditioned and rinsed again. No shampoo. We want to close the cuticle and lock in the color - that's what conditioner does. Shampoo is designed to remove, conditioner is designed to lock in... (Now you know) The deep purple color is intense. The blue (sky blue) is very deep as well. Not sure why they call it sky blue as it is more of a cobalt. Anyway - super intense color. The cyan? Not so much. I used the cyan (more of a turquoise/Aqua) on the top of her hair. The coverage ended up being a little spotty. We may need to reapply a bit. A day after coloring she was invited to a pool party Which isn't a good decision for your newly colored hair - but she's 8 years old, so kids will be kids. The sun will fade hair color. All hair color. That massive radioactive ball of gas will fade anything from car paint to plastic - why anyone would think their hair color is impervious is beyond me. The sun will fade NATURAL hair color. They call it "sun bleached" for a reason. Chlorine will do the same. They call it "chlorine bleach" for a reason Still following? Ok so she spent the day in the pool in the sun only 24 hours after color. I'll tell you this, I am impressed. The cyan faded quite a bit, but we were never impressed by that one anyway. The blue and purple are vibrant as ever! All in all, this is a really good product if you do it right. It isn't magic. If you don't apply a product right don't expect it to work right.

It's 1/3 the price at the store and our tube was really gummy
Our tube was really gummy forcing us to need two tubes. When we were forced to go to the store to grab extra. We found out the same product was 1/3 the price at only $5. Also the tubes from the store were way better quality. SERIOUSLY DON'T BUY THIS.
