Novelty ArtStone 36108 Low Square Ella Planter, Black, 10-Inch

I love this planter. I did a lot f research before I decided on this one for my succulent planter for 9 plants. Everything fits perfectly and is a perfect height for a desk. I like the drainage system that includes a plug that you can remove if you wish. I left mine in as my succulents get water once a week. I used a potting mix of 1 part Sphagnum Peat Moss soil for moisture retention and 1 part Pearlite for drainage to give an even balance of moisture retention and drainage for my succulents. Beautiful stone color. Lightweight and easy to handle which is definitely a plus.

I bought them to fit inside a wooden planter and they were perfect so I didnt care as much about appearance. However, for plastic resin, these are very nice looking and good quality. If they were not a good fit, I would have let them as they are very attractive

It is exactly what it is advertized as: a hard to find 10" square planter box in black.The picture another reviewer posted is very accurate. They were aiming for the look of black marble, so black with greyish veins running through it. Since it is a rigid plastic, it is not really an expensive looking item. The drainage is very nice with a hole in the bottom you can leave the rubber plug in or remove. It also contains, as shown in the picture, a drainage tray in the bottom so your plants are less likely to suffer from root rot. This tray you can leave in or remove as you desire.I kept going between 3 and 4 stars. I am using them as an outdoor planter for a few flowers and I am not sure they will make it to next year between regular wear and tear and winter "storage", that time when things are safely packed away but somehow end up scratched, broken and missing pieces when spring comes. That being said, they will work perfectly for where I am using them and they are under $20, if I need to replace them next year so be it. They are exactly what I needed, the only square planter I found that weren't 8 or more inches deep, have a nice drainage system and they will look nice were I am using them.I will mention I originally ordered 2 of these. They were shipped in the same box and like the reviewer who gave them 1 star, arrived all cracked, broken and basically worthless. I think because they are such a hard plastic, during the rigors of shipping, they smashed together and crack. Amazon as always, is great and I returned them with no problem for a full refund. I then placed 2 separate orders, 1 planter box per order. Individually shipped they arrived in perfect condition. So if you would like more than 1 box, I would recommend only purchasing 1 planter per transaction to ensure one container per shipping box.Update: planters lasted 2 seasons and it was eventually not the plants that killed one, it was dropped. This is certainly not a reflection on this planter but the handler.

It has a built in drainer so I don’t worry about overwatering my succulents or damaging the table.

This item is very sturdy and lightweight. The item was very slow in shipment!!!

This planter is the perfect size as a centerpiece on our large patio dining table. I had difficulty finding one that was the right size and color. The plants I put in it are doing well.

My pot did not have any marbling at all. It is total black plastic.

Looks real and cuts down on watering because of a removable tray in the bottom that provides a water reservoir! Very cool little planter, its placed next to real ceramic pots, you can't even tell the difference in materials!
