Light & Sturdy
I love this tent. I used it when I hiked rim to rim in the Grand Canyon. It was very lightweight and quick and easy to set up and tear down. I spent six nights in this tent. The fly was good on the rims where it was down to about 50° on the south rim and 30° on the north rim. I did not use the fly when I was in the canyon because it stayed up around 80° even at night. There was enough room for me on my sleeping pad and some essentials inside. There is a very handy pocket towards your feet that can hold things like your phone or a flashlight. I feel like it was a great value for the price I paid,I am even considering purchasing the two person size for when my partner and I hike together.

Big Agnes Copper Spur 1 person. LOVE IT
Perfect for solo backpacking. I appreciate how light weight it is and how it compacts in my backpack. The set up is so easy. I was desert backpacking and the free-standing style was a must. Stakes were useless in the hard ground. I was able to use rocks to hold the fly out. No stakes needed for the main tent. The storage compartments are abundent and larger than my 2 or 3 person tents. It was very windy at night; the tent held up nicely and kept all drafts out. I can't wait to go backpacking again!!!

Super light & very durable
I've taken this tent on two long hikes in Wind River, WY, and the ND Badlands. Pack weight is a key consideration, and I love how light it is. Despite the light weight, the tent has held up through some challenging conditions. We had hard rain and heavy winds most nights in the Winds, and I slept soundly through the storms. The tent is also super easy to set up - takes about five minutes and is very intuitive. I also love the inner overhead pockets - great way to store items you may need quick access to.

A bit expensive but fit my needs nicely.
I bought this tent for bike & back packing,I'm 5'10". This was big enough for Me to sit up read, change cloths and between foot area, gear lofts and vestibule I had just enough room for all my gear. I would recommend ground cloth because of light weight floor material.

Thoughtful construction, astoundingly durable
I've spent dozens of nights in my Big Agnes Copper Spur UL1 tent over the past 5+ years. It shows little wear and has never leaked. Never had a condensation problem even in sub-freezing temperatures in Mount Rainier National Park in December. The tent breathes very well in warm summer temperatures, too. The photo shows the tent pitched at Inspiration Point in the Mount Hood Wilderness this past weekend. That trip prompts me to write this review. Unexpectedly, the weather turned. The tent was pounded with 40+ mph winds for six hours, first from the east and then from the west. Amazingly, the tent held up all night with no leakage and no damage. I had a lot of time to think about tents from midnight to 6AM that night, and I'm now a Big Agnes customer for life. This is my second Big Agnes tent, and the first was just as durable and functional as this one.

Mixed feelings
It’s a fine, functional tent. There are a few little quality of life things about it that just annoy me for some reason. Others may love it but I felt like I wasn’t on the same wave length as the tent designer. For example, every tent I’ve ever used has elastic loops to hold the toggles for when you role up and tie back the doors. This tent doesn’t. They are just plain fabric loops. It is surprisingly difficult and frustrating to get the toggles through the loops when they don’t have elastic, especially with cold fingers. I never would’ve realized it until experiencing it. The awning thing is not really that practical and doesn’t work as well as it looks in pictures. On the other hand, I like the all the pockets on the inner and the color coded snap in system for the fly.

Excellent solo tent
Fantastic ten. Lightweight and you can drop even more weight by ditching the storage bags. Looking forward to using this next week on the JMT. This company also rocks in speed of delivery!
