10-15 Live Pink Spotted Ladybug Larvae, Habitat Refill Kit

I had an issue with the first group of lady bug larvae that was sent to me. They were all dead. I wrote to Insect Lore and let them know. Insect Lore sent me a replacement free of charge pretty quickly. This group is thriving and doing fine. They are getting ready to go into the pupae stage. Then it's about a week and they emerge as ladybugs! I can then let my grandchildren set them free in my backyard!

I I work in a school district, and for many years, we’ve used caterpillar larvae for educational activities. This year, in addition to the caterpillars I decided to try ladybugs with my students, even paying for them out of my own pocket in hopes of providing a new learning experience. I received the ladybugs and followed the instructions carefully, including placing them in the ladybug house with water in the small sponge provided. Unfortunately, nothing happened—there was no movement, no growth, and they appeared to be dead upon arrival. Amazon sent me a second batch, but the same thing occurred. The ladybugs never showed any signs of life or movement. When I attempted to get a refund, I was told to send the insects back. However, I didn’t have the original container they came in, and honestly, how does one send back dead, speckled tiny insects? It felt very odd. At one point, I was told they would just issue a refund, but despite several follow-ups, I never received it. Overall, I am very disappointed with this product and do not recommend it.

So, I ordered these babies because I had a pretty massive aphid infestation on my balcony garden, but the only full-grown ladybug options seemed extreme. I didn't think 300-1,000 buggies were necessary for my little 12x5 space and last season some of these dudes showed up naturally and did the job so well. I had a great time watching them work and grow and live, so I was SUPER excited for this order to arrive (ran downstairs like a kid on Christmas after getting the notification of delivery). 100% of the little dudes showed up alive, and they made great work on the tasty bugs waiting for them. I've had a wonderful time obsessively checking on them to make sure they're okay (I know they're insects, but I still had to worry). Literally my only complaint is that they sometimes wander off to places where I can't immediately find them, but that's how bugs do! I'm so happy to have found this super reasonably priced, all natural method of pest control, and fully intend to purchase again for the same reason when I inevitably have the same problem next season.

I wanted to have my preschoolers watch the larvae turn into ladybugs. A neat science experience. Well, I brought the tube to school to release them into the habitat I had bought and all were dead except one. I hope it at least lives so the kids can watch it change. I believe this was too expensive for all but one to die. I'm very disappointed.

Using for aphid control in a terrarium. They arrived alive, a few unhatched, 13 total, so 10 actual larvae. They were already at work the following morning.

I’ve ordered these tubes before, but I usually get at least 10 bugs. This time I got 4. I’m very disappointed. That’s about $4 a big! Steep price for a little bug. It is not that they died in transit. There just weren’t many bugs to begin with. There were only 4 larvae but there must’ve been eggs in the tube too because eventually, I got a few more lady larvae!

Okay so to be fair, clearly I didn't read close enough to know these were larva and not adult ladybugs. Totally and completely on me.... Maybe change the picture associated with this item?.... However... One tube had 7 alive, 3 dead, the second tube all 7 of them were alive. Seems lucky number 7 for this order, which I did of 2 tubes. Rather than putting them in my awesome and massive dim ladybug loving habitat, where generations could live the life of luxury with a well-balanced diet, producing the larva for me in the very shade house where they would be feeding on the aphids, I have 14 live larvae sitting on plucked watered leaves of cucumbers, the undersides of each leaf covered in aphids. One little fella is already hungry, the other 13 are still trying to get over their jet lag. Here's hoping they make it and here's hoping I can catch adults for the ladybug city I built for them 😀 So as delivered, when promised, my fault I read the description wrong, but the description said 10 -15, but only one actually had at least 10. Though I should have taken a picture, in the one with 7, there was something black, some kind of a speck, between the red stopper and the clear tube. It fell off as I was uncorking so I can't confirm or deny that it might have been an 8th larva that was intended to be inside the tube but got squished trying to escape. EDIT: I have been going through the enclosure every single day since releasing. As of now, there are only 3 still alive. Might be better purchasing eggs cheaper with a potential greater success rate.

My little family and I are in love with them. They all came alive and hungry. I spread them in my little garden. Because I have the little bugs that are eating my plants. And the larvae has been eating them because I haven’t seen the little bugs. It was easy to use. The quality was good, and it’s effectiveness too. It functions well too. Like they immediately explored the garden and loved it!

I bought these ladybug larvae in an effort to save my indoor plants from spider mites. I made them an enclosure out of an old food container and freed them over time. They would have done the job perfectly if I had ordered them earlier!

Cannot use all larva arrived dead

Did not get any live lady bugs unfortunately. (Only 2 stars becuase seemed to be some type of genuine effort.)
