Milliard Bread Flour Enriched/Bleached/Bromated 24 LB

I could not find bread flour (or yeast) ANYWHERE in my area. It's sold out in the stores and on-line. I hesitated at buying such a large amount, but went ahead and jumped on it. It took a little muscle to open. I repackaged the flour using my vacuum sealer machine in more manageable 4lb. bags. I am not what you'd call an experienced bread maker, but even at my first attempt, it came out great. I used the Kitchenaid mixer bread recipe. So easy! I got the yeast, saf-red label, here, on Amazon. My area grocery stores are only stocking the bleh, white, generic type bread. Now I have scrumptious wonderful smelling bread. My neighbors love me, because I'm sharing, of course.

I am not an expert but I used this flour to bake some French bread and the result was excellent. The packaging is pretty good and seal very tight. It was a little tricky to open and needed to use some power in my hand and arms but again it assure the freshness of the flour. I definitely will purchase again. I can recommend this product to anyone! May 29, 2020 update. I made burger buns with Great results too!

I wasn't able to get my regular brand of bread flour recently and ordered this 24-lb bucket of Milliard flour. I was delighted to find that it's excellent. Loaves come out with good solid texture, even rising, and great flavor. I think this Milliard flour may be "my regular brand" in the future. :-) Great flour! UPDATE a couple of months later: My old brand is once again available in 5lb bags but I bought another of these Milliard buckets. This is great bread flour--as I said the first time, good texture, great flavor. Can't go wrong!

Bought two of these bad boys at the start of lockdown... And we are actually almost finished the first one. Dozens of loaves of bread, pizza, sourdough, thickeners. Great stuff! While it's hard to open, you know it's safe and secured. Love these lol.. anyone know any tricks to opening em with ease let me know. Cause I plan on ordering more. 2 last all year.. even with heavy baking and cooking.

Loved the flour. I lost a middle finger nail on my right hand due to difficulty trying to open the container. Lost another one reopening the container again. Besides that, I’ll buy it again. I’m rating the flour, but if there’s a way to make the container easier to open, I’ll give the product a 5, even 6.

I love this flour! I use a bread machine and I have to cut the recipe down by 1/4 because the first loaf of bread pushed the door open because it rose huge when baking. This is great because the flour will last longer than the store bought stuff. The bread is fluffy and delicious. I must be fresher than store bought. I think that’s why it rises so well.

I was glad to find a bromated flour since they are so rare today. According to my sources, the bromine is rendered harmless during baking, while adding so much to the bread. It is also enriched. If you have made a lot of bread lately from grocery store bread flour and it comes out okay but fairly tasteless, then try this flour. You will be impressed.

I use this for my bread maker. It turns out great for my bread. I would definitely buy it again. I like the seal tight lid. I use this bucket again for rice. Now looking forward to buy again when in stock.
