Swedish Farmer Cheese (Hushallsost) Whole Wheel

It's tough to find farmers cheese that's shreddable instead of "cottage cheese" consistency. This is perfect, exactly what you'd want in a farmers cheese - consistent quality. Definitely will buy again.

Reminiscent of our Muenster...........absolutely great for my homemade pizza...perfect " melting " cheese...No more espensive than my local supermarket for similar product.......GREAT value for your money...Love that buttery slightly sour taste...I'm a " cheese maven " and this fits the bill for your everyday workhorse / mild, but flavorful cheese, when you're not in the mood for an aged / stinky one...Soooo creamy!....enjoy!

Not as authentic as the true Hushalls ost one gets in Sweden.

We first tasted this cheese while we were in Helen, Georgia, decided to see if Amazon had it, and they did! This is the best cheese I've ever tasted, and I'm not a cheese lover. You can cut it into portions, and if stored properly, can freeze and it thaws out very well. I'm so glad I found Amazon had this, and for a really good price!

Very good cheese that being said I wish it came a little quicker as the small ice pack was not longer cold.

Be aware, this is not a typical "whole wheel" of cheese, as the description states. The picture also does not accurately represent the product. Carefully read the description to see that it is a two pound block of cheese, that is round. The cheese is ok, but not as good as the one you buy in Sweden. In my opinion, it is not worth the price.

Was pleasantly surprised at the size of cheese given. Used it on eggs and burgers. And sandwiches. Very good. Mild.

Great cheese, about the best tasting cheese I have ever eaten, seriously. Shipping makes it expensive, but oh well, fantastic cheese if you are like me and don't like all of the over flavored cheeses that are out there. Some may say it is bland I suppose, but I think it is perfect. yum, yum, yum.
