IQBAR Clean High Protein Bars, Low Sugar Snack, Fruit Variety 12ct

**Updated Review -9/29/2021-** I'm finally submitting an updated review. I was sent a sample variety box from the Co-Founder. I was hesitant about these bars at 1st but gradually tried each. Indeed they did make changes. I gotta say, great improvements. The flavors are much better than before and have more of a moist, yet not oily, oatmeal/soft-like texture. Normally I like my bars cold but these are very good at room temperature. I went ahead and tried a bit of the remaining ones. I'll go through each favor. 1) Matcha Chai: I didn't even know they had this flavor. It's a new one to me. The matcha flavor is there and on point. It's a flavor I'm not used to but it might grow on me. I definitely like the ingredients this one has. 2) Blueberry Lemon: Far better, strong blueberry and lemon flavor with blueberry bits. 3) Blueberry: This had a deeper blueberry flavor, a better improvement. Good bits of blueberry. 4) Banana Nut: Definitely better, the banana nut hits the taste buds quickly. 5) Almond Butter Chip: I'm an almond and peanut butter lover and this one is quite good. May end up one of my favs. I did taste the almond butter quite well and the chocolate chips taste good. 6) Peanut Butter Chip: A solid improvement. The peanut butter flavor hit me a bit later than the almond butter. Not really a bad note, the peanut butter flavor is there. Peanut butter chocolate tends to be my favorite flavor so this may end up on the top for me. 7) Chocolate Seasalt: Although I'm normally not a fan of flavored bars with sea salt. this is far better than before. Good chocolate flavor and sea salt is there. On another note, I like their branding. The box shows what the bar actually looks like versus other brands showing some indulging treat of what it suppose to taste like. They even show videos of breaking apart the bars. And there you have it. Nice improvements IQ Bars. I can see these now as a good alternative choice for me. **Original** I've tried many different types of protein bars, starting from whey and switching to plant protein. I've seen recent reviews mentioning these bars taste better due to a new/better formula but these are very bland in flavor. I'm at the close point of giving this a 2 star. I give protein bars a good try and see how my tastebuds adjust to them. My tastebuds normally adjust well to new brands I try. The problem is these bars fail in the 1st impression in flavor. Even at a health standpoint, it shouldn't compromise flavor. I bought both variety packs, the chocolate and fruit lovers. Both so far are very bland and I just plan to choke these down so I don't waste the money but also to give these a full complete try. Maybe I got a bad batch but then that's also a problem. If IQBAR has really improved their bars, needs to be consistency across the board. Everyone is different, you may or may not like these. I wanted to try all the flavors but so far none are my favorite. I get health and nutrition, but not cutting corners. So here is my overall: Price: 3 - Avg/Fair - Price is around average imo compared to most plant protein bars but I've had better. Taste: 1.5 - Very bland - 1.5 - These bars may be the blandest bars I've had yet or at least in 2nd place which is a shame because also included in the box is a little sheet saying "we improved our bars". Texture: 3 - Semi Dry/soft - I'm fine with the texture. It has somewhat of a semi-moist granola texture. Ingredients: 4 - The main reason I decided to try, the ingredients look good overall. They look like a good alternative choice. Packaging: 5 - Packaging was great. Clean box design, no reckless handling, and bars in good shape. If you plan to try, I recommend one of the variety packs and hope you enjoy them. Unfortunately, these are leaning to a no-go for me. Maybe in the future that will change.

I really enjoy these protein bars! All three flavors are delicious, and I like having the variety so I don’t get tired of eating the same one. One bar is surprisingly filling, which makes it a great snack when I need something quick between meals. I bought these because I’m exercising regularly and need to make sure I’m getting enough protein throughout the day. They’re easy to take with me and have been a convenient way to add some extra protein to my daily routine. I’ll definitely keep these on hand.

I'm giving this 4 stars because the lemon-blueberry flavor is awful! It's very tangy and doesn't taste good to me at all. I powered through eating one but I'm not eating another one of those. However, the banana nut and wild blue berry flavor are very good. I enjoyed eating both of those flavors!

We found the texture to be ok. The flavors (we had the three flavor box) were very bland. The scent of the banana nut was stronger than the flavor. We prefer either a good chewy bar or a crunchy one.

I bought these bars because I’m trying to eat healthier and lose weight. I often get hungry between meals and wanted a healthier snack instead of reaching for chips or sweets. These bars have been a good option because they’re convenient to carry and help keep me satisfied until my next meal. I like that they’re high in protein and fiber while being low in sugar. The fruit flavor is pleasant without being overly sweet, and the texture is enjoyable. Overall, they’ve been a great addition to my diet and a convenient snack when I’m on the go.

I'm not one who typically writes reviews for anything but I make an exception for these. I love these protein bars. I have have a high metabolism and need between the meals snacks that can give me the boost of energy that I need along with staving off the hunger pangs that hit me about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. And because I need low carb food, I have been on the hunt for healthy, low carb snack items and protein bars. So many protein bars are nothing more than plant protein with either a whole lot of sugar or a boat load of artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols, many of which taste disgusting. IQ Bars are the exception as they use a small amount of stevia without a noticeable stevia aftertaste. For health reasons I am on a low carb diet. Low carb means little to no sugar. These meet that requirement. I also don't want overly sweetened food from artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols because those tend to trick the brain into want more sweet things (i.e. more sugar). These bars meet that requirement of low levels of sweetness. However, that doesn't mean that they sacrifice taste or flavor. Our American diet is so laced with sugar and sweeteners that for too many people, low levels of sweetness means that they think non or low sweetened food items have no flavor. But with the IQ Bars, every single flavor that I've tried tasted is great. Even the Banana Nut tastes like real bananas (hint - they use real bananas) and not like artificial banana flavor. Love these things and wish more companies would dump the use of the artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols.

I really liked the flavors of these bars. They have a nice texture, taste great, and are individually wrapped, making them very convenient to carry in my purse. I like that they provide plant-based protein and have only 2g of sugar. My favorite so far is the Banana Nut flavor. I would definitely buy them again.

As a diabetic, I find these the best as far as low sugar, high protein, and fiber

The only reason that I didn’t give them five stars is that the flavour could be improved. If you read the ingredients, they are pretty healthy and well, they taste that way. I felt I could taste the medicinal mushrooms in them. I specifically bought them because of the ingredients so this is something I am ok with and I intend on keeping them as my go to emergency snack at work.

Tastes really good. So difficult to find veg protein bars that don't taste chalky. These don't.
