Ancient Enemy Box Set: Ancient Enemy Books 1 - 4 Kindle Edition

This is a great series by Mark Lukens!! This is not my kind of paranormal I like particularly, but it kept me reading chapter after chapter until I was done! I couldn’t read any other book because I was too interested in this one. 1, 2, and 4 books were the best, the ones I liked the most. If you decide to read, there is some language, but not much at all. I wouldn’t have been able to read, if there had been. There is a LOT of gore, because that’s the kind of horror it is, a sci-fi paranormal horror, so be prepared for that. That’s what I was talking about when I wrote it isn’t my type of paranormal, but it was so interestingI had to continue. So, again, if you decide to read, Happy Horror Reading 😬👻

Wasn’t sure when I started & then I was done. This is a fast paced story with a a boy named David & a pretty nasty demon. Add the FBI, Cole who just robbed a bank ,Stella an archeologist & Begay A Navajo & the police chief & a cast of others alive & dead & you have the makings of a pretty wild tale. Great read which kept me interested & entertained

I had a little bit of trouble getting into the first book. The remaining books were easier to get into and finish. What really happened to the pueblo builders of the southwest? Why did they abandon their well built cities? What would happen if the same thing that caused the abandonment of the pueblos came back in current times? Read this and follow that thought with horrifying results.

This series was just alright, sort of repititious at times, I wish that a better explanation of the origin of the ancient enemy was provided. The ending was somewhat anticlimatic. All in all it is worth reading.

Great read! Mr. Lukens weaves a great tale of horror that keeps you on the edge. This is the complete set and is completely integrated so you know who each character is . Not always easy to follow at first but doesn't take long to become clearer. Loved the series! Thank you Mr. Lukens, keep them coming!

This was a great finish to a really thrilling series. Warning, it is a little gory. However, it is a super fun read. (I read the version from the box set.)

This box set is a true page turner. I love the character development, how the time line is played out, and the twists and turns. The timeline may not be for everyone as it jumps around some but if you stay with it everything falls into place and makes sense. Just the right amount of emotion and terror to make you want the lights on and see the good guys win. But who is a good guy and who isn't ? Definitely a 5 star book series.

An unusual long story well broken up into four segment. The number of main characters is a concept not many could hold together especially in the strength each one holds on his or her own.

Sometimes, the author repeats things in case you missed it the first, second, third etc time you read it. If you can get over that, the story is engaging, well structured and involves characters you can believe in and empathise with. I couldn’t read all four books in one sitting but couldn’t wait to get back to them every spare moment I had. Definitely worth a read.

One of the best book sets I've ever read couldn't put bit down. Will be following the author well done.
