Fantastic moisturiser
This is my holy grail moisturiser for dry skin! It is thick and rich but absorbs quickly. My skin is sensitive and my legs often sting after shaving but this immediately soothes my skin. It doesn’t have sexy packaging but it’s fantastic quality and value for money. I love that it is in a tube and not a tub, so I don’t have to dig my fingers in (also more hygienic) and it’s easy to apply. Personally, I like that it is fragrance free

Good skin cream
Good cream. Not sticky. Moisturises well. Not too thick but not runny either, good consistency, spreads in nicely and absorbs well. Leaves the skin feeling nice.

Amazing cream
Thought I would try this urea cream instead of my usual Eucerin one as it’s a lot cheaper but sounded a bit similar. I’m very pleased I did as I prefer it and the bottle is huge so will last a long time, making it even better value for money. I have sensitive, acne/redness prone combination skin and I use this on my face twice daily - it absorbs really well, not greasy, doesn’t break me out, leaves skin soft, supple, smooth, soothed and hydrated. My skin feels healthier and I don’t feel I need to exfoliate my face either as much or at all with this! My make up goes on/looks better now too. I might start using it as a body cream as well. Highly recommended!

Great value, great product
Such good value for money, I am always so grateful for affordable, effective and fragrance free products that have been formulated to be the least likely to irritate skin. This cream feels so rich and I've used it as a general body/hand/foot cream as well as a way to control the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms. While great at helping with the KP I do find a cream with salicylic acid tends to be more effective. However I have no doubts this is a great product for anyone wanting some intense (but surprisingly light feeling) moisture in their skin! I gave it 4 stars because the cream doesn't spread too well and leaves your skin with white streaks for a few mins before being absorbed. Other rich urea creams like ones from Eucerin or Cerave don't do this so possibly something for altruist to correct in the future? I would still buy again purely for the amazing value for money.

Saved my moisture barrier
Turned my ruined skin around. The moisture barrier of my face was in a really bad way earlier this year - stress and irritation had left it very dry in a way that my regular moisturiser couldn't touch, there was a lot of redness and scaliness, my skin was extremely sore, tight and sensitive, and all the damage was leading to inflammatory acne flareups that wouldn't heal. I tried this moisturiser following advice to try a urea-based product. I've been using it every night (too greasy for daytime) for a couple of months and it's entirely healed up I initially found it stung a little due how cracked my skin was, but after a few days that stopped as the skin started to heal. It took a few weeks for the worst red scaly patches to fade but I saw steady improvement from day 1, and my skin now feels much more supple, robust and hydrated. I'm no longer getting severe acne flareups and the scars are very slowly healing. I can't stress enough how much of a lifesaver this has been, and for me the results have been worth the minor downsides: it's very thick and greasy, doesn't have the greatest scent, and if your skin is very damaged/sensitive you might have to endure a few days of mild stinging while everything starts to heal up. It's not at all luxurious or glamorous face cream. But as a good, bland, reasonably occlusive barrier repair cream it's hard to beat and I highly recommend.

A game-changer for sensitive, reactive skin
I've been using Altruist Dry Skin Repair Cream for a few months now, and it’s truly been a lifesaver for my dry-ish, sensitive, and reactive skin, especially for that 'ants-crawling-all-over-why-am-I so itchy?' feeling which has plagued me even more during perimenopause (from what I read, I'm not alone!). This cream feels ultra-soothing the moment I slather it on after a shower, and I think it has significantly calmed the burning and itching sensations that seemed aggravated by hormonal changes. It's also improved the texture of the skin on my shins, which was a bit thin and blotchy and starting to show the effects of too much sun while living on the Med for 20 years. It’s rich yet absorbs beautifully without leaving a greasy residue. It’s rare to find a cream that addresses my dry, reactive skin so comprehensively - without fragrance, all importantly. Altruist has nailed the balance between repair, hydration, and soothing relief - yet the price point is incredibly reasonable. For me, this is an essential part of my skincare routine, and I wouldn’t be without it. Highly recommend to anyone in need of intense hydration and skin barrier support without breaking the bank. It truly delivers on its promises!

Great moisturiser but not good for comedone-prone skin
I love this moisturiser, it really sinks into the skin and feels nourishing. However, I used it for eczema on my face and neck and after about 3 weeks of use I have developed lots of closed comedones in areas I have never had them before so I have had to stop using this product. If you aren’t prone to comedonal acne this product will probably be great for you, but if you are then I would maybe steer clear as it has definitely triggered breakouts for me. That said, I will continue to use it on my body because it really does feel lovely and nourishing. It’s just a shame my skin isn’t able to tolerate it on my face as that is where my problem area is.

Good moisturiser
This cream has a nice consistency and absorbs well. The smell is not the best, but the cream does the job. The fact that it has 10% Urea convinced me to repurchase
