I would not hesitate to recommend these to my friends. I'm just on my way to take my dog to the beach so we'll see how well they do there, but I'm assuming they will work perfectly. I did order a 9 but wear a 9.5 - 10 however these fit perfectly. I've worn them mowing the yard and gotta say it's like just having socks on. I again would recommend these to anyone who likes to have cool feet, but something to keep you safe. I did go take a walk with my dog for about 1/2 mile and they are just like wearing nothing. I love that. I'll probably buy another set just for backup, because I don't think they will last very long on pavement. But for the price, who cares? I'm super happy. Edit/Update: After walking in the ocean with waves and having the shoes get wet and heavy, I would probably also recommend at least a half size smaller than you normally wear. They did great and dried pretty quick, but again I ordered a 9 but wear a 9.5. I'm sure I'll buy another pair of these as it's just like wearing socks around, but with protection. I'll go with the 8.5. After they dry they seem to expand a bit. Maybe it's just me being picky, I don't know. But again I'll say these are the best beach/water and even walking the dog on pavement shoes I've found for the price. I'm very pleased.

I bought these for my planned cruise excursions. Most of the reviews that I read said that these shoes ran big and to order AT LEAST a half size smaller than usual, so I did. I wish I hadn't. The half size smaller had my toes pressed up against the front of the shoes. It was somewhat uncomfortable, but the material that the shoes are made out of allowed for some stretch so it's not like my toes were scrunched up the whole time (they just didn't have any extra room to move around). I was able to wear them around for a few hours before I needed to take them off to let my feet breath and stretch.Also, the width of the shoes was really too wide. If we lived in a perfect world, I would have purchased these shoes in my normal size, but had the WIDTH of shoes a few sizes smaller.

I took these on a recent cruise and they worked as advertised! They certainly aren't my wife's $60 water shoes but for the price they protected my feet and were surprisingly comfortable to wear on the sand, pavement and beach. I wouldn't have a problem spending all day in them.As others have reported the sole separates after the first use. I haven't tried to glue it back in yet but they were comfortable to wear even without the sole. If the company would fix the sole glue problem these would be perfect shoes and get 5 stars. As it is I am satisfied for the price, with the use I got out of them.

Good water shoes. I used them in a triathlon and should have used a fin or sock-type shoe that sealed out sand better than these, but these are well made and really have a good, tough sole that really protects your feet. If you need to get into shallow water with mud and/or sandy beach, then go with a better-sealed sock/shoe that has no vents or mesh in the top that lets debris into the shoe. These are perfect for scuba diving from a boat into open water or jumping from rock to rock in the surf. Nice, single lace to cinch the area around your ankle in each shoe.

The item was received quickly and well packaged. It looks nice and easy to slip on and off and comfortable. I like the elastic cord, so I can tighten it when snorkling. However, I ordered the size as my street shoes and it was a bit long. Since I am going to wear it without sock and when the shoe gets wet it becomes heavier; I want it to be snuggle fit and won't be kicked off in water. I have to return this one. They responded right away for the returning process and I'm impressed. Sorry never tested this pair of shoes in water, so can't comment on its durability. For someone to order this pair of shoes, you may want to consider a size smaller.

I bought these for a beach vacation. I expected some sand to sneak through, but I didn't think about how hard it would be to clear the sand out after a swim in the ocean. It's hard for any pair of shoes, but the sand came in through the mesh at the top of the shoe and with all the walking and swimming, the insoles came loose and let the sand pile up at the front. Even after rising out the shoe, I could never get the insoles back in again, not the way they were originally. Not a bad pair for a bit, but at this price point, I wasn't upset about leaving them in the hotel trash can at the end of my vacation.

It got the job done definitely. Purchase the shoe, at least half to one size less than your normal shoe. Take only for water activities with at the most really light walking on dirt with no grades/hills. The sole will come off easily as it is only stuck there by glue. If used only in water, then this will last you. Used it on a walk through rainforest with gradients and the soles came off constantly. At the beach or river no probs. If you want something more able for hiking as well, pay extra for a heavier duty shoe. You will feel every rock on your heel with these.
