100% Pure: Fruit Pigmented Mascara - Dark Chocolate, .24 oz, Lengthens and Separates Eyelashes, Water, Smudge,Flake Resistant, Colores with Black Tea, Berry and Cocoa Pigments

I'm allergic to phenoxyethanol so I'm very limited in mascara that I can use. I have several other natural mascaras but in the heat and humidity of a Texas summer that all end up smeared under my eyelashes by the end of the day. I was pleasantly surprised how well this mascara held up. Yes, at the very end of the day there was just a bit under my eyes but much less than the other mascaras I have tried. As for the color, in the tube it looks like a milk chocolate color but once applied to my lashes it looked dark just like my black mascara. In regards to the smell, when you first apply it you can surely smell chocolate and it lingers for a bit but is not unpleasant. After it dries you will hardly smell it anymore unless you are a rapid blinker throughout the day, even then it is only a very faint chocolate smell. I have not experienced any discomfort or irritation in wearing this mascara. It gives a nice natural look that I enjoy for everyday use.

This is my first review of a product and I am a devoted Amazon customer. I love 100% Pure. I have tried or own nearly all of their products. I have used this mascara for about a year or so and, like most reviewers say, it does wear off/run easily but I do like the way it makes my lashes look and I am committed to using only organic products so I stayed with it. A few months ago, I noticed a "tic" starting under my left eye. It would come and go but it would happen every day. Also, my eyes would be irritated a lot/even blurry at times. For 6 months or longer, I've put up with the tic that comes and goes all day thinking (after extensive Googling and speaking with my doctor) that it was due to stress or poor sleep. A few days ago it occurred to me...I wonder if it could be my eye make-up? So, I went to work that day without my mascara and eyeliner (also 100% pure). And guess what? No eye tic and no irritated eyes! I hate to have to discard my mascara (hoping it's not also my eye liner)...I have enjoyed it despite the tendency to wear off/smudge a bit. That said, I encourage you to buy 100% Pure products (love the blush and highlighter and the gel masks are amazing...especially the under eye mini masks).

Absolutely the best mascara. Ever. Natural or chemical. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Actually I love all of the products I have tried from 100% Pure to date. This mascara feels really good. It doesn't dry or clump. It doesn't flake, either. In my experience, the worst it does is smear a small bit under the eyes and this only after a long day, with a little eye rubbing thrown in. The good thing is, it doesn't really look that bad if it happens. It's not like a flaking mess. Natural products are very important to us. We probably buy more "real food", organic, toxin free, etc. products than most, and sometimes it requires a sacrifice in product performance. But we feel it's worth it in the long run, all things considered. However, with this mascara, there is no need to make that choice. It smalls great, feels great, looks great, and treats you greats. The ONLY drawback is the PRICE. It's high. I have purchased this product for over 2 years, but to be honest, I recently bought a natural mascara that is far inferior to this one, because I can NOT pay this much for mascara these days. So sad. But, were it possible, I would never wear anything but 100% Pure Fruit Pigment Mascara.

I was so upset to find out I was allergic to mascara. I had spent years finding the perfect one to give me thick, long lashes that were dramatic but not spidery (loreal voluminous was the winner). Once I couldn't use it I was devastated... my eyes look tiny and tired without mascara. Well this product was a true lifesaver. I love all the natural ingredients (I can pronounce all of them!) And the chocolate smell is delicious. One coat provides a subtle natural look, but I like to really coat it on to get a sexy look. I have tried every expensive mascara... Dior, Chanel, Lancome, etc... and this is just as good, plus cheaper, plus much better for you and the environment. Even if I magically got over my allergy, I would still stick with this. I can't wait to try the blueberry version. Amazon needs to start stocking 100% Pure's other cosmetics because I don't know where else to buy them!

This is hands down the best mascara I have ever used. The consistency is just right, not too runny, not too dry. It spreads evenly and easily. The smell is pleasant, not chemical, and it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It doesn't run, but is easy to remove. And I really know it doesn't run, as it stood the ultimate test: I wore it in a dance performance where I am blindfolded in three different sections with a heavy canvas blindfold, dancing hard and sweating. The show is an hour long. I expected it to be smudged around my eyes but it was all still on my lashes. Needless to say I'm a fan. Plus it's natural and cruelty free.- I do have very dry skin so I can't say if it would smudge on an oily skin, though.

i am really impressed with this mascara. i rarely wear any makeup, especially eye makeup bc im terribly sensitive to all things (sadly). it is buildable mascara, in that, when you put on the first application its very fine/light. i dont like to wear heavy makeup, so the light application is perfect for me. it gave my already long lashes color (theyre blonde) and made all the tiny lashes show up. it smells like chocolate, no joke, and neither the smell or general formulation irritated my sensitive eyes. it left lashes feeling silky vs. crispy. i think the soft finish is nice, but make sure you curl your lashes well first, i think since its softer in finish it makes the curl fall a little--nothing a good pre-application curling cant remedy. it does smear if you rub your eyes (im guilty of this bc i rarely wear anything and forget) but it doesnt flake or get into your eyes and irritate them. nice dark brown color. would definitely buy again!
