Used this to remove the moss and thatch that has taken over the front lawn. The lawn is approx 70ft long by 30ft wide so a square area of 210ft. It dealt with this with no problem whatsoever. The motor wasnt getting hot at all. It got about 8 large bin bags compressed down hard. The garden looked like the Somme after but grass is healthier than ever 2 months down the line. Ive not used the aerator yet so cant comment but it looks the part. Criticisms. 1.The appliance arrived with the aerator fitted., so I had to swap it to the rake. This isn't easy to do. The process is simple - just undo a couple of screws - but detaching the aerator was difficult and pulling it off the mountings not easy. Refitting the rake was easier once a little oil was used. 2. The collector bag was really worse than useless. It simply didn't fill properly. This was the real minus on this. Overall I would give this 8/10. It would have been 9/10 but for the collector bag. It's a sturdy, large, robust piece of kit. The price made it an absolute bargain. I would definitely recommend you to buy this .....but be prepared to deal with that awful collector bag.

I have used the aerator (spring tines) roller only, up to press. It was easy enough to change the roller over. The machine has done an excellent job of scarifying the lawn; it's light enough and easy to use. It seems to be well made. One criticism: the collection basket is way, way, way too small. It's full after only a few seconds of use. It's quicker to leave the debris on the grass and then rake it up afterwards, picking up the residue when mowing. Otherwise - recommended.

This thing is awesome, it’s an absolute beast and 100% effective and scarifying a lawn. It’s powerful and easy to use.

Mine arrived with a 12m cable pre-installed whereas the illustrations show a plug connector just below the handlebar. I couldn't find any mention of the cable in the description. The scarifier blades were also pre-installed and the machine was soon assembled ready for use. My lawns of about 180 sq.mt are in reasonable condition with no more moss than one would expect at the beginning of the season. The scarifier was easy to use and so efficient that the box had to be emptied every 5 to 6 metres. I haven't tried the aerator tines yet but they, too, look to be very efficient. The machine is sturdy, well made and I could not be more pleased with the purchase.

Very prompt delivery infact next day. Very light equipment but not lacking on power at all . I have a medium sized front lawn and large back lawn. Removed so much moss and dead grass on first use only downside is I believe the collection bag is slightly too small. Great bit of machinery.

For the money it is fair value and I discovered on the lowest of 3 settings the rotating scarifier does seem To be good 10-15 mm below the wheels and can certainly remove much of moss and grass at that setting. It can turn a near dead lawn into a earthy mess with a slightly loose top covering. Ready for re seeding. I changed my earlier review as I was a few days ago not happy with the depth until I turned it on its side and realised that raising the wheels towards the body of the machine meant a deeper blade cut. Happy now

I wanted a scarifier and this is just about that. Fair enough. Under £120 and just about adequate. Makes a bit of a mess, the capture bin is tiny and the cable is infuriatingly short. The raking blades are not sharp and just mangle weeds which in some respect is quite good. Cheap and cheerful. Pros. Very easy to assemble and use, really lightweight. Cons. Cable too short, always gets in the way and sort of scarifies but not brilliant. Might work for a very small garden and for someone who isn't too fussed about their lawn, but for anything more heavyweight perhaps spend more money and spec up.

I never usually have the time or need to post a review. I do so if I have something to grumble about or warn people off of a product. However - I actually logged into Amazon today to leave this review because the product was worth the effort (and I have the time). Just for the record - I am not affiliated with or sponsored to leave any guest posts. That is not the world I come from (I work in IT). I'm no gardener or landscaper but having moved to a new property with a larger garden...I had to start new projects and learn how to improve things for myself and my family. Moss was a big issue with the lawn and a scarifier was on the list. Having read numerous reviews I settled on the Chinese made Einhall (german) scarifier and rake. Putting it together was very simple (20 mins) and then being quite lightweight I carried it with the simple handle on top to the worst affected areas of the lawn - plugged in the extension lead to my plug and got to work. The attached photo is my halfway point and it took a fair amount of raking to pile this lot up. With some new grass seeding and water, this area is already looking revitalized. It is by far one of my best purchases on Amazon.

Era da tempo che cercavo uno scarificatore arieggiatore per il mio prato che voglio mantenere al meglio allo stile inglese. Ho girato molti garden e negozi brico, eppure non ero mai sicuro al 100 per cento. Alla fine ho trovato questo prodotto che dalle descrizioni e recensioni mi sembrava completo. Da tempo compro prodotti ehinell e mi sono trovato sempre bene. E questo acquisto non mi ha deluso affatto. Anzi.. devo proprio dire che è un acquisto che rifarei anche oggi stesso. Perché?? È un attrezzo leggerissimo e comodissimo da usare, soprattutto con l'utilizzo delle spazzoline per il pezzo del mio prato messo ancora bene e poi degli uncini per i pezzi con muschio o erbe infestanti da distruggere il più possibile. Il mio prato, dopo la rigenera con questo attrezzo, è rinato. E, visto il risultato, anche i miei amici hanno voluto giovare di questo arieggiatore per migliorare i loro prati con ottimissimi risultati.

Die Verpackung ist, wie ich bei Einhell eigentlich schon gewöhnt bin, nicht so der Hit. Aber dieses Gerät kam heil bei uns an und so konnte ich gleich das erste Mal loslegen. Da ich dieses Jahr noch gar nichts am Rasen gemacht hatte es aber fürs erste Vertikutieren eigentlich schon fast zu spät ist "schnell" die Vertikutierermesser durch die Lüftungseinheit ausgetauscht. Dies geschieht durch 2 Imbus-Schrauben, ein Schlüssel war leider nicht dabei. Das abziehen war nicht ganz so leicht wie es viele beschrieben haben, zum Einen weil ich sehr vorsichtig war, wollte schließlich nichts kaputt machen, und zum Anderen weil der Vierkant-Aufsatz, auf dem die Einsätze liegen und angetrieben werden, nicht gefettet war. Unterm Strich ist es aber trotzdem ein leichter Wechsel der dennoch einen stabilen Eindruck hinterlässt. Nun also mit dem Rasenlüfter losgelegt. Zuerst auf kleinster Stufe und mit Auffangkorb, der wirklich sehr klein ist. Zu klein... . Also Korb gleich wieder abgemacht und ohne weitergemacht. Das Gerät lässt sich, nicht nur Aufgrund des geringen Gewichtes, sehr leicht manövrieren. Wir hatten vorher ein Gardena-Gerät gehabt (fast doppelter Preis, Motor nach 3 Jahren kaputt) welches sich nicht so leicht bewegen ließ. Man merkt auch sofort die "Mehr-Power" die dieses Einhell-Gerät hat. Nachdem ich den Rasen das erste Mal bearbeitet hatte mit dem Akku-Rasenmäher einmal drüber und es war alles aufgenommen. Danach noch einmal mit Stufe 2 über den Rasen - die Stufenverstellung empfinde ich als deutlich besser gelöst wie früher (an beiden Vorderrädern jeweils einstellen, einfach durch drehen eines Einstellrades). Und auch jetzt wieder sehr leicht zu Händeln und ein absolut überzeugendes Ergebnis. Ich bin von dem Gerät absolut begeistert und gleich nochmal etwas mehr wenn ich den Preis bedenke. Der Auffangkorb ist zwar wirklicher Schrott, aber beim Gardena war es auch nicht besser und mit dem Rasenmäher über die bearbeitete Fläche und gut ist, und das musste ich beim alten Gerät auch schon. Für mich also kein Negativ-Punkt. Der Durchzug und die Arbeitsleistung ist Super, die Lautstärke des Gerätes auch angenehm leise - für so ein Gerät. Einhell hat hier wirklich ein sehr gutes Mittelklasse-Gerät zu einem tollen Preis auf den Markt gebracht und so ganz langsam entwickle ich mich zu einem Einhell-Fan. Wenn die noch die Verpackungen in den Griff bekommen und so weniger Anlieferungs-Schrott produzieren würden, dann würden sie insgesamt auch bessere Bewertungen bekommen. So kann ich jedem, der unter der schlechten Verpackung leiden musste, nur empfehlen so lange Auszutauschen bis man ein heiles Gerät bekommen hat - meiner Erfahrung nach lohnt es sich, die Geräte haben ein extrem gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
