Works as it should, although it wasn't the problem with our vehicle, turns out the cats were plugged.

Just installed and it went smooth. I will update on the performance if I have any trouble. Installed in a 2001 GMC Sierra Step Side regulator cab. The actual pump itself is smaller than the one I took out. But I think it was replaced before cause of the marks on the tank around the locking ring. One note on the install. Best practice is to use brass punch and a dead blow hammer if needed. You do not want any sparks around the fuel tank. On install, use a light coat of grease around the rubber gasket and tank where the locking ring slides. I was able to use a screwdriver and Channel locks to remove and install. One reviewer mention the fuel level sending was off. From my test with multimeter set to ohms. The reading were very very close. And these gauges are not very tight on tolerance. So the slight difference in reading are not going to affect it IMO. The OEM connectors and the connector that was sent was pinned the same. So I didn't need to splice the pigtail. I was as able to use the OEM. As far as me cutting the access panel in the bed. The truck is a 2001 with a salvage title. Over 200k miles. It didn't hurt the value and I have a plastic bed liner. When / if I sell it no one will see. I'm going to take some strips and rivet on the low ribs and silicone around the edges. In the pics, the old pump assembly is the yellowish one. New is white. As you can see the new pump housing is about 1/4 inch longer than the one removed. No big deal. Because the 3 metal posts on the pump housing are spring loaded. This will allow the lower section to slide up almost the entire height of the lower section. I will update as needed.

Update: pump started to fail after three years. It was starting hard and missing on acceleration. I bought this pump again because it’s definitely worth the money. I’m very glad I cut the hatch in the bed. Installed the new pump in 15 minutes and it runs strong again. Works perfectly in my 2002, 4.3L, 4x4, regular cab, Silverado with stepside bed. Rusty bolts made me decide to not lift the bed or drop the tank. I got a jigsaw and cut a hatch door in the floor of the bed, above the pump. I measured from below. I soldered the new wiring harness first and wires were obvious. Purple to purple, thick black to thick black, gray to gray, orange/black to thin black. Lock ring came off after a few minutes and some penetrating oil. Truck runs smoother than before. Shop wanted $700+, I did it for $60. I’ll update if it fails.

Worked and fit like OEM...

I purchased this pump in March 2019. It worked for about five weeks. So I contacted the seller but they did not get back to me. I then contacted Amazon and they replaced it with a new one of the same brand. It worked on and off for about three weeks. And then finally stopped completely. I have confirmed there is power to the plug and I have a good ground but it will not pump. It was a very good price for a pump. But after replacing it twice and now I have to replace it with a different brand for the third time it turns out that is was not such a good price. This is the first time I have reviewed an item. I've read reviews in the past where the person is seething with disgust and it makes them sound like a former employee of the company or something. I'm just telling all you thrifty (tight a--) people like my self, the savings on this fuel pump is not worth the grief. YOUR WELCOME Side note: I called amazon this morning and told them, "I did not want a refund or a replacement pump. I just want them to know what I had been through with this pump and they should not sell it." They told me to write a review, so I did.
