In a nutshell shell: I don’t smell good- but I don’t smell bad. I chalk it up as a win and like this deodorant! The not smelling “good” is due to the deodorant itself not having a strong good smelling scent. However, it works and I don’t smell “bad” at the end of the day or even the next day. This stuff works! I wish I could rate the seller as the deodorant that I received had been opened already/the seal was broken. But I needed deodorant and decided to use it anyway. (It didn’t looked used once I opened it up). So I have tried MagSol, Secret 72 hour all body, MarioBadescu aluminum free, each&every, hello, Tom’s, Crystal, n-fuse, real purity, Lume, Method and likely many more. I am sensitive to baking soda so I am always looking for an aluminum free and baking soda free deodorant that actually works. I still like Mag-Sol but it’s length of deodorizing isn’t the greatest. Mag-Sol smells “better” but I smell “bad” sooner. Overall: I will likely be buying Drunk Elephant again.

Firstly, I have tried all of these aluminum-free brands: Lumé, Raw Sugar, Native, MegaBabe, Vanicream, Kopari, Tom’s, Dove sensitive, Schmidt’s, and Crystal. Most leave me with a horrible sunburn-like rash under my arms that takes days to stop itching and hurting. And the ones that don’t leave a rash leave my armpits smelling like a pile of rotting garbage. This one, however, is PERFECT!! It has a very light almond scent (like almond extract), goes on like a cream (but without any slimy feeling like you get from gels), and completely eliminates odor for over 24 hours!! And when I say eliminates odors, let me give you an idea of what it’s up against. All day, I chase around a hyper 4-year-old and an extremely active 2-year-old…AND I’m pregnant. I don’t know what it is, but being pregnant kicks my hormones into something like Middle School mode that would leave me re-applying all other deodorants multiple times per day. This deodorant lasts and lasts and LASTS without any irritation whatsoever. Also, I put on a pretty heavy application of it—like thickly-applied lotion—but it never leaves a mark or stains or stiffness or discoloration on any of my clothes, even though I get dressed immediately after applying it. And I’m always shocked by how long it takes me to go through a tube! I guess the tube is deceptively big, because it lasts considerably longer than any other deodorant I’ve used. So, if you are debating about whether to try this deodorant, stop debating and buy it! :) I think you’ll be very pleased with its results!!

Drunk Elephant was the best among non-aluminum options I tested. I tried native, kosas, dr.mist, blossom to bath, alvera, and drunk elephant. I hiked 3hrs in 90* weather to test them. This one was the best. As a sweaty person, it prevented everything but the smallest trace scent of sweat. I reapplied afterward and my loyal friend confirmed no sweat smell was left at all. We went straight to a bar to refuel without a problem. After a typical work day I end up a bit damp but smelling like a baby. Pros: It isn’t sticky and dries quickly for a liquid. I have sensitive skin that doesn’t like baking soda or clay, but I’ve had no problems with irritation or rashes. I appreciate that it has natural ingredients. It also avoids the small amount of aluminum absorption by other brands. Whether or not it’s enough to be harmful, I’d rather be on the safe side. It lasts all of a low-moderately active day. Personally, I’d reapply after sports, but you’d be passable without. Cons: I wish the scent was stronger. I’ve been focusing on my perfume instead, but would love some scent options to choose from.

I've tried almost Ll the mainstream "natural" deodorants without having much luck, so after reading a magazine article, this was my last attempt at going aluminum free. First, the smell isn't great - it reminds me of play doh? Maybe? The smell does dissipate as it dries, so you only have to deal with it for a few minutes. I sweat, A LOT, but was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked to prevent sweating. It DID take my body about a week to get used to it, but once it did, I've had no issues with odor. I've worn it at work, at the gym and outside with absolutely no stink. The best part is that it doesn't leave any residue on your clothes or under your arms.

After having used the same mainstream deodorant/antiperspirant for probably 25 years, I developed a sensitivity to it that resulted in lots of underarm itching. So I decided to switch to something more natural. I anticipated some transition issues, but was pleasantly surprised how well this product worked. It's easy to apply once you figure out how much product you need to squeeze out (less than you might think) and holds up well for 24 hours. No body odor, no excessive sweating (even though it's not an antiperspirant), and no itching. My main issue was the very strong scent of the product itself. I found it incredibly unpleasant and gave up after about two weeks of using it as I just couldn't get used to it. The price is a bit higher than regular deodorant, but given how a little goes a long way, it probably would have lasted a long time. If there are other scents offered in the future, I might try again, but this just wasn't for me.

I’ve been using this product for about 6-7 months and I had no issues with it.. at first. I loved the smell & the appliance of it. It really helped curb the smell of body odor and I would come out of the gym hardly smelling. A few months later, out of nowhere, I started getting irritation. Bright red chemical looking burns & my skin became super dry. I have stopped using the product and my armpits have still been red for the last 2-3 weeks. :’( So super sad, really wanted this to work!

Absolutely best deodorant I have ever used. Soft cream texture that does not stain and is easy to apply. A little goes a long way and lasts all day. Would highly recommend. As expected another great product of the Drunk Elephant line.

I received this product but didn’t give it a try only after 2 weeks of purchase, when I tried to use, it was broken.

There is a very light soft scent to this deodorant and it works very well. Worth the extra money!
