Happy so far!
I managed to snag this bike for less than $600. Oddly enough, right after I bought it, it went to $709. Lucked out somehow. I’d say it’s worth that though. It’s light, well made. Hydraulic brakes are impossible to find on an entry level bike so i was pleased with that. I am making some changes right off the bat. The grips are like rocks, as is the saddle. I’m also adding an extender to raise the handle bar up to give me a more upright riding position. Easy to put together out of the box and was relatively tuned up to start. I’ll be taking it in to a bike shop to fine tune the shifting. Overall very happy so far. We’ll see if the pedals hold up. Stripping seems to be a common problem.

If you can't assemble it properly, just ask a bike shop pro to do it for you.
Bicycle arrived with bent derailleur. I'd blame that on UPS being careless along the way than on component quality. The bent derailleur (A cheap Shimano that you can find right on Amazon for $25 or so) prompted me to buy a good quality Microshift Advent derailleur I saw on more expensive bikes. It turned out to be incompatible with the rear freewheel, so I ended up going on a bit of a shopping spree for compatible *quality* components to replace the entire chain system, AND rear wheel. And guess what. Well worth the money. I did have to get some help from a bike shop in my town to adjust the chains and replace the front crankarms, but now the ride is butter smooth. So, if you have a hard time with assembly, just swallow your pride, and ask for professional assembly help. It does take well-developed skills and sense to be able to assemble a bicycle properly.

A little problematic at first.
Received the bike in really good time...that's Amazon for you. It was simple to put together and appeared to be a nice bicycle. The front derailleur was noisy and I was able to get it quiet by adjusting but would not shift properly to the small sprocket. On the first outing of about five miles, I stood on the pedal and the chain broke. After that I took it to the bike shop in downtown Fredericksburg for an upgraded chain and adjustment by someone who knows what they're doing. I now own a nice bicycle for the money. The chain is junk.

Exceeded most expectations
I bought it for $215, Used, Like New. It was 100% new in the box, but it was slightly damaged. (The wheel was packed over the crank so it needed a spoke fixed and the wheel trued, and both tubes were bad). After sending proof of repairs, the seller refunded half of the amount of the bill. Also, you will have to tune the gearing, or take it to a professional. I didn't know that, but with some careful reading and a couple of hours work I managed. All in all, I got a great bike for under half the price if I had bought it retail. I'm happy with the purchase.

What a great bike at a great price, been riding approximately 13miles three days a week since I've had it and like it more each time I ride..

Excellent customer service
My front tire was stolen out of my truck. I called with the intention of buying a new front tire, rim, inner tube, quick release axle, but was told it was under warranty and all items were replaced free of charge. During this ordering process my customer service rep was incredibly responsive, proactive, and competent. No hassle at all. Know that if you buy this bike and have an issue it will be addressed seriously by people not attempting to extract more money from you. Buy worry free with Schwinn.

Poorly quality controlled
Left pedal crank threaded incorrect. Cannot be used. Proved by removing pedals off old bike (also Schwinn ) the new pedal fits the old bike perfectly fine, so the crank piece is the issue. Really frustrating.

“Used like new” 🙄
The item description was the worst! Product shoved in a shipping box. Parts were loose on bottom of shipping box. Assembly required with not one written enclosure enclosed. Bike was filthy with oil. One tire completely flat.

I have done the search for my bike, my first was Mountain bike, the handle bars were too wide for in town riding ( that is all I do ) then there was road bike nice and light, but the tires were to narrow made for hard ridding , so I thought, light frame , shorter handle bars, 21 spd, Hydraulic Disc Brakes,, Slick Tires, that is my idea of a mountain / road bike, . SCHWINN has it all

love it but i had to pay to fine tune my gears.

Bought this bike for $500. All components on this bike are basic and required tune up. However the most important is that the bike arrived with rear derailleur made by Microshift instead of Shimano Turney, as advertised. When approached Amazon, I was offered $100 discount to keep it as is. So I think it is a nice entry level bike worth about $400, not more.

Just received the package yesterday after months of waiting. The box it arrived in was very banged up and the bike inside the box is dented, scratched and a metal piece was broken off...very disappointing!
