I am so happy with this potter's wheel. It is larger and sturdier than I expected, and it works like a charm. I have dreamed for years of having my own pottery wheel, but never could afford one. Now I have one. I am also teaching beginners how to use it. I have my own studio now. Thank you so much for having this potter's wheel at such a great price!!!

This machine works well. I’ve only used it once. And as it was my first attempt at pottery I think it went alright. It’s plenty powerful and dispute my ineptitude with pottery I didn’t break the machine. I was really worried about the wet clay and water spilling down the main shaft into the motor but that wasn’t an issue at all. It did get under the plate and was a little difficult to clean but once it was cleaned I could tell that nothing went anywhere it shouldn’t have which was a relief. I really like the color and comparatively this pottery wheel was a really good price. I think I would only change 2 things. First I wish all the edges were smooth. The rounded edge has some sharp-ish bumps on it that cut my fingers a little while I was cleaning it. The second thing is that I wish the foot pedal was actually detached so I could use this while sitting at a table and still be able to adjust the speed with my foot. I am a total novice. Really I bought this because I’ve always wanted to try pottery and I thought that this pottery wheel was a great opportunity to try something new. And it was! I made a huge mess (totally my fault. I didn’t know you were supposed to kneed the clay before you start...) but I had a great time and my spouse had a good laugh when they found me covered in wet clay water, but still way fun! I think my next attempt will go much better now that I’ve learned a few of the basic first steps! Great purchase good supplier, shipped on time and came in great condition. & I would recommend this to a friend.

I decided to try this kind of wheel after watching YouTube videos reviewing their performance. I am really happy with this one! I am intermediate level potter and have adapted it to meet my needs. I bought a bat mat that holds bats beautifully without bat pins. I have not had issues with it not having enough power to throw. I have adjusted the height using cinder blocks so that is not an issue. Overall, considering this wheel only cost $100 vs $1000 for other wheels, I can't believe how well it works.

I loved this, especially for the money. But it just shorted out and stopped working within a few months of extremely mild use. I know I haven’t mistreated it. Super bummed out.

Very nice product. Does what it is meant to do. The whole family can us it. We’re not that great at making pottery but the machine is nice. I’m sure we will eventually get better.

I was so excited to have my first wheel at home… until I opened the box and started it up. Almost immediately I cranked the speed all the way up to see what I was working with, and heard a snap then the wheel stopped turning. I flipped the wheel over and figured out the belt had fallen off of the motor. So, I was able to get the belt back on and all was well for about 5 minutes. I got my clay centered, and then the belt popped off again. So I fixed it again. 2 minutes later the same thing happened. At this point I was very angry, and cleaned up my mess and put the wheel back in the box to return…About 2 hours later it occurred to me that maybe I could tighten the belt. So, I took my ratchet and socket, loosened the bolts holding the motor, moved it about a half an inch, then tightened the bolts back. Sure enough, problem solved!I haven’t thrown on it since, but I was messing around with the speeds and the wheel was running on full speed for about a minute with no problems.If the belt stays tight and I can keep it from coming off again, I’d say this is a great product for the money. However, I docked a star because I don’t feel like any and everyone would know how to tighten the belt to the motor, nor should they have to do that. I’ll update it if nothing goes wrong, but for now I think 4 stars is fair for my troubles…

I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It was bigger that I thought it works be. Plugged it in and it works just fine. Should do the trick!
