Underwear Men's Loose Linen Medieval Gothic Renaissance Shirt Long Sleeve Pirate Mercenary Costume

Arrived in perfect condition. Felt and looked more like suede. Very comfortable and breathable. Good fit and great quality. I went with Amazon's size recommendation (large). I am 6'1" 185lbs the shirt was a bit wide to be worn untucked. It was worn with a kilt and was a great look. The second (darker) lacing cord was a different type, size quality. The darker color one would have looked better in my opinion, had it been the same type, size quality of the lighter colored one.

I bought this for myself. I prefer men’s shirts because I have a really large bust (44inches, 38DDD).I usually wear a men’s large or extra large but this one was way too big. I know it’s supposed to be loose but it was HUGE. I could probably go down at least 2 sizes.I was impressed at the fabric quality. It was a nice heavy linen. Even being off white, I could not see my bra thru it.When I returned it, I chose not to get a smaller one but went with a different style shirt. I’m a big girl but I do have a waist and this shirt felt really bulky under my cinch belt. I felt like it was more due to the thickness of the material and less due to excess fabric.Really nice shirt.

Ordered 3XL and I'ma 2XL. The shirt fit loosely on me, which was perfect. My only complaint is that the sleeves were tighter than id have hoped for.

I am SO impressed with this shirt! I usually make my own pirate shirts because I want them to last, but I took a chance on this one because it’s black and has the cool metal eyelets (not a detail I enjoy adding myself). The fabric feels very lightweight. Honestly it doesn’t feel quite like linen to me, but it at least feels and looks like a natural fiber. The tag says 100% linen.I am returning it because it DOES run small. I usually get a men’s M, but ordered a L in this, and it doesn’t fit in that loose blousy way that a pirate shirt should. Looks GREAT; just needs to be looser all around and have longer sleeves. We will re-order the next size up and probably order it in white as well. Again, this shirt looks and feels very high quality, definitely exceeds my expectations for a $30 shirt!

We purchased this as part of a Renfaire costume. I am short and heavy so I have a very large protruding gut. It can be really hard to find affordable clothes that fit, especially at reasonable price points, and costume pieces are even harder. In the past I have bought a bunch and sized up and still had things not fit well.I typically wear a 5x or even 6x depending on the brand of shirt. I bought this as a 5x and it fit nicely. Not super loose, but not tight at all across my stomach. I think I would get 6x if I bought another one just because the shirt looks great a bit looser, but it fits nicely at 5x too.It looks good and the quality is surprisingly high. I tend to be rough on clothing and wear them out but I imagine I will get a few years of it. It looks really similar to the image, even accounting for the much larger size than displayed.It would be even nicer if the twine closure at the top was leather instead, but that can easily be customized on its own and it looks great as is.

This shirt does not seem to be the same product as shown in the photos. It's similar, and it does serve the purpose but there are some shortcomings.I love that it's linen (careful I guess it will shrink if you wash and dry it wrong). The linen is a little textured, but I was disappointed it didn't have as much textured quality as the photos. It is a nice beige. I agree with other reviewers replacing the laces with something fancier like leather thong would look extra good.I am 5'7" with a 38" bust. Ordered a small based on the sizing chart. It fit in the chest and shoulders, but was too short in the sleeves! I had to scrunch them up as in the photos here, which worked fine for me as part of my costume, but was also a disappointment. To get the cuffs over my elbows I had to rip the backing behind the lacing a little on one side, but with the lacing you can't tell. It was loose and boxy in the torso which was also fine for belting but wouldn't look right without belting.The collar was nice. The lacing was fun. It didn't fit in the sleeves in a loose billowy way which I for some reason expected, probably unreasonable assumption on my part. So just be aware of that.Functional shirt for a good price, but not quite as awesome as the pictures. Would be great if the sellers could put different photos up.

The 3xl fits me great, it is linen as advertised it came with 2 colors of cord (tan and brown) Which is awesome. the ONLY (and I mean only) regret is the length of the shirt. , it stops just at my hips so, using a belt OR tucking into pants means the shirttails pull out easier. IF the shirt had even another 3-4 inches of length it would be even MORE awesome.I am NOT disappointed and WOULD order another, but I probably would go with a 4 Xl and have to shorten the sleeve to get the length around the waist

I purchased this item for use at our local Rennaisance Faire. The quality of the fabric is quite good, if a little scratchy if you aren't used to wearing linen (wash it before wearing, it helps). The description provided by the seller is accurate, and the fit is VERY loose. The included laces were of decent quality and have not frayed with use so far. However, a couple of previous reviews mentioned multiple sets of laces were included, which was NOT the case with mine. Your mileage may vary.Overall, a good piece for the price. Make sure to order a size down (at least) from normal and you should be just fine.
