Very convenient and works well
The media could not be loaded. I had an older nail gun that had to use a compressor. It was a pain carrying the compressor around. For this privacy screen I was making in my condo (see video), it would have been very difficult to carry the compressor around and navigate the hose and have the compressor connected to an outlet and how to squeeze it through the tight areas. I can’t imagine doing this project with it. This cordless nail gun made it a lot easier.Other benefits I noted:- The instruction manual was A LOT less wordy than my previous one (see image). It used a lot more images and a lot less wordy paragraphs, which I really appreciated because it makes it very easy to read through before you use it. When it’s super wordy, sometimes I get overwhelmed and will delay working on a project until I feel like reading through all the paragraphs.- Most nail guns have the contact safety (thing you push against surface that allows you to pull the trigger), but this one has a light indicator. So you will see a little light when it’s pushed, which I thought was a nice addition.- It has a clip that you attach that could be used to put it on a tool belt or something while you are working.- Easier maintenance - for my old one, you had to put oil into it every now and then to prevent it from jamming. This one doesn’t have anything about that.Potential cons:- Does not come in a case. My old nail gun came in a case so you could keep the nails, instructions, etc all together. It would be nice to have a case for this so you could keep the battery with it.- It would be easier to accidentally trigger with this vs one with a compressor. For the compressor ones, I know that after I have disconnected it and I’m not worried about it going off when I’m putting it away. For this one, I would want to disconnect the battery when storing it just to be safe and again there is no case, so it won’t be easy to keep it together if it’s disconnected.Overall, I really liked it. I think if you don’t need a compressor for other things, this is a better option and a very good choice, even for beginners!

Worked perfect for installing baseboards
I was looking for a reasonably priced alternative to a larger 15 ga nail gun, and this cordless 18 ga brad nailer was perfect. I bought it specifically to reinstall baseboards in a room where we ripped out carpet and installed vinyl planks. Dialed up to its maximum power setting, and using the supplied 1 1/4" brads, it handled the task of penetrating the baseboards and sinking the brads into the wallboard easily. It jammed only once in the coarse of driving about 50 brads, which is typical of nailers this size being pushed to their capacity limit. A tool costing twice the price could be expected to have about the same reliability, if you believe the online reviews. The jam was cleared with very little effort, requiring no tools and no disassembly of the tool. I simply picked the pretzeled nail out of the snout of the tool with my fingernail, and was back in business. Definitely recommend this tool to the casual home improvement hobbyist. Before putting the tool away after its intended use I was able to use it to strengthen an old rickety particle board file cabinet, well offsetting the initial cost of the tool compared to replacing the cabinet.

Great tool!
It's rare that I buy something and truly love it, but this is one of those. I do a lot of little DIY work around the house and got tired of dragging out my heavy, noisy air compressor whenever I wanted to tack some stuff together. You never know how well a cordless tool is going to work, but I am quite amazed at how good a job this thing does.Pros: Works $*#&ing awesome! I particularly love the staples. Drives brads and staples through everything I've thrown at is so far, from hardwood to Hardy board.Cons: 1. Damn heavy!2. Not instant nailing like with an air gun. I think there's a very heavy spring the motor winds up then releases to drive the nails. Takes about 1-1.5 seconds from trigger pull to drive.3. The safety switch can be very picky and the only real issue I have with it.Overall, one of the few tools I'm really glad I bought. So convenient and just plain works.

Don’t Buy This Product
Do not buy this product. I am a homeowner who occasionally used this on rare home projects, found that after a few hours of total work time, it stopped working and would not fire any staples or nails. It would make the sound like it was working but no staples/nails. Upon finally reaching customer support (which was frustrating and difficult to find and get a response) I was informed that the product was out of warranty and therefore no replacement. This product was only used a few hours and did not even use but a few sleeves of staples. This is my first posting and review of any product. Buyers beware!

Might be worth the price
To be perfectly honest, I got this because I needed to change the glass and a window and thought it would be easier to nail the window stripping with a nail gun. It arrived on time for the job... But the gun itself was slightly disappointing. The battery did not fit properly into the charger so I had to continuously reset the battery during the charging. Also the gun did shoot the nails without fail but even at the highest power setting it would not set the nail so I had to come back the hammer and a nail set to finish the job. Not a big deal setting a window pane and a door but doing extensive trim work of any sort might require using a pneumatic nail gun instead.
