Ultra Fast Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer | Folding, Stainless Steel Probe for Grilling & Oven from BBQ Sniper

The BBQ Sniper is exactly what I was looking for. Great packaging with a nice instruction sheet as well as a cheat sheet on proper cooking temperatures. The sniper is larger than I thought but that is great because the screen is very easy to read. I first used mine on a cold cup challenge between my new SIC Cup and the Yeti cup and the sniper showed the temperatures the exact same at 33.6 degrees. Then I used it on the grill that night and it was spot on for our steaks - great to know it is accurate for either cold or on the grill! I also really like the automatic shut off just by closing the probe - this is wonderful so you don't waste a battery by forgetting to hit power off. There isn't anymore you could ask for out of a meat thermometer - the BBQ sniper delivers all of it. Thanks for making a great product!

I DID NOT RECEIVE THIS AT A DISCOUNT FOR MY REVIEW. Only used this a few times and now there is nothing on the digital readout. It worked when put away. No we didn't get it wet or do anything foolish and changed the battery. I think a lot of the reviews for this were given a free product. I actually paid full price and used it probably 5 times. Now it's dead.

Wanted to give this five stars because it is so easy to use, but there is one major problem. The cooking guidelines chart (i.e. medium rare meat should be cooked to ____ degrees) are on a separate slip of paper and not attachable to the Sniper. It would be ever so much more user friendly if the chart was actually part of the gadget. I'm going to tape my onto the back side, being very creative since that is where the battery compartment is, or the top if I can make it small enough to fit.

The thermometer seems to be accurate, not that fast but fast enough.It reads within 10 secondsI tested it against another thermometer, it was with in one degree apart.The unit turns on by itself when you open it up.A few things that I didn't like so much was that this is bulky, it doesn't feel very well made or durable,The thermometer is simple to operate, and has limitless probe positioning,This is a must have when cooking meat, grilling or in the oven

Bought in February. It worked well for about 2 months and then gave out.

Seems like the calibration is a little off by about 3 deg F low and that is important to me. Now that I based it off of a couple of known standards, I can deal with that. The probe can be difficult to extend and I need a slim blade to open it. My nails are not as strong as I would like them to be. I can fix that to with a little sandpaper. I press the on-off button with an audible click and I might have to do that several times before it works.Please take my comments with a grain of salt; I'm picky and expect accuracy, ease of use right out of the box (by the way was 5 star) and buttons that do what they sound like what they are doing. Listen, the product is OK and I can work around all fixes but I think it has some flaws that should not be there. I'm an engineer working with supplier quality at an aerospace company so take my comments with a grain of salt.But I do love my meats to be perfect and I think this product can help!

This thermometer works well, the read out is clear and easy to read. They give you a chart of temperatures to help you get the temperatures you need. Worth a purchase if you are in the market for one.

You will not receive the advertised product from this seller: The real BBQ Sniper (which is pictured) is fabulous (I’ve owned one for years and given several as gifts, so I can tell the difference). I just ordered another and received, in its place, a cheap knock-off. No nice box, no heavy, quality feel, no “BBQ Sniper” label and logo printed on it. I’m returning immediately.As clarification - I’m giving the delivered product 1 star; the actual BBQ Sniper - if you can find it elsewhere - is a 5-star product.
