Sadly they were all too big for me.

Easier to use than the normal type, good to have different sizes, but still find myself pricking a different finger to the one wearing the thimble.

I thought the medium thimbles would be right for me, but it turns out I will need small ones. The fit is comfortable, but as the leather softens with the heat of the finger it becomes loose and moves. I've managed to overcome the problem by wrapping an elastic band around it. I did find it a little cumbersome to use and difficult to manoeuvre the needle, but maybe it will become easier with use.

These thimbles are much better than the usual metal ones and much more comfortable to use, although would like them to be slightly longer. The added advantage of the metal middle for pushing needles through is a great asset. Although not sure how long each one last you have the added advantage of there being 4 in the pack, making it good value for money.

Perfect for the job

I work as a milliner and often have to stitch through thick layers of fabrics, resulting in the eyes of needles puncturing my poor fingertips. These are great to protect my fingers and the metal inserts help to push needles through thicker layers. There's a couple of different sizes too so you can find the best fit.
