Hospital Survival Guide: The Patient Handbook to Getting Better and Getting Out

Best book to get before going to the hospital.
Be prepared and this book book prepares you if you have to do a hospital stay. Every tips is valuable like don’t schedule surgery in July or in the afternoon Have in an envelope with all of your medical history and information handy in a 911 situation. There is so much good information and I will have the book in my car just in case. Remember that as a patient you are a paying customer and have the right to fire your doctor and insist you are treated with respect and courtesy..If you have anxiety, you can ask for a sedative for the night before.A lot of good information and the book was written recently so it talks about COVID.Highly recommended.

Indespensable
This is a wonderful and timely book -- I can't recommend it highly enough. You do not, of course, want to find yourself in the hospital. But life happens, and if the hospital is where you (or a family member or friend) need to be, you could not have a trustier, more level-headed, and more companionable guide than Dr. Sherer. Even if you are not hospital-bound, the book is a really engaging read about the state of hospitals and healthcare in 2020. I would give this book 6 stars if Amazon allowed it.

Read this before you go to Hospitals
The one bad part of the book is that its aimed at an American audience only. All other countries are ignored.
