3 in. ABS Backwater Valve

I maintain a development that has a multilevel water feature outside of the entrance gates. When doing maintenance on water feature or if there is a power outage, the upper pond would drain into lower pond, lower pond couldn't handle the volume of water and would overflow onto street. This simple device prevents that from happening.

This little pipe fixed our problem. We had constant sewer smells in our sinks and appliances. No more. I highly recommend it

The gasket on the flapper was missing. Didn't get to install the valve until after the return window closed so didn't notice the missing gasket until it was too late.

PVC in line products are often a gamble on them working or not.This back flow preventer works as advertised and took about 5 minutes to install.

I bought this for a new bathroom addition. I already had one of these on the existing line and it did stop water/sewage from entering my home. Instead, the pressure from the blockage ruptured the clay pipe in my front yard. It's like insurance, you don't need it until you need it. Then you are glad you made the investment. I recommend anyone who lives on a street which slopes to put one in because a clog in the main sewer line can happen anywhere. Then the sewer water from anyone higher than you will be heading your way.

Received and opened immediately only to find that the seal for the flapper is missing. Seriously, how hard can it be to check and make sure all the parts are included before sealing the box? Especially if it’s a known problem as expressed by other customers. This was supposed to get installed tomorrow and now my entire schedule needs to be rearranged. Frustrated and disappointed.
