Easy & Effective
I got some new surround speakers and wall brackets for my birthday. I decided that since I no longer do ladders that I would look for an alternative solution to running cables up & around the walls to the speakers. Speaker stands were an obvious alternative, but now I was facing cables on the floor or using channels and running the cables along the baseboard or walls. These cord covers provided the ideal solution for me. We have dark wood floors and the brown color is very inconspicuous. They are heavy and heavy duty. I have no problem fitting speaker, coax, and other A/V cables in the channel on the bottom. They hold the cables in place along the walls and will be easily moved if we decide to rearrange the room or sell the house. These cord covers were an excellent choice for my needs and an easy recommendation for me to make.

My Best Option Short of Extensive Re-Wiring But It's Not Red Oak
One section of my house has very old wiring--no grounded 3-prong outlets and not very accessible for re-wiring. My immediate problem was that I bought a new TV and didn't realize it would have a 3-prong plug. An intermittent problem we had was when my son was visiting, there was no 3-prong outlet in his room to plug in his computer. For this purpose we had been using a cheap cord concealer to run a cord to a grounded outlet in the hall, but it could not handle a second cord. This cord cover easily handles two heavy duty cords in the main channel. Each cord is round and about a quarter inch in diameter. They are heavy duty extension cords like you would use for a power tool. There is still room in the conduit for a smaller cord or speaker wires, not to mention two additional small side channels (you'd have to thread wires through the side channels). This cover lays much flatter than our old cheap one. It's not perfectly flat but that may be because one of the cords has to make a quick right angle turn as it exits the conduit and the tension may affect the cord cover. Or maybe I should have worked on it longer out of the box, to undo the curve from being coiled. Maybe it will get better with time, but it's good enough for me, it's just barely not flat on the floor at one end. I am happy to get a brown cover to blend in better than the old gray one, but this brown does not remotely match what they call Red Oak around here. It's just plain brown. My floors are 50's golden reddish brown hardwood and I was hoping for a reddish brown (based on another review, not on the product photo). Oh well.

nice and heavy, stays in place, flat
Unfurled the loose spiral configuration it was shipped in, put the 10-ft piece flat on a tile floor with four heavy'ish boxes on top, and by next day it was close to all flat. The thick rubber was relatively easy to cut with an x-acto knife. I'm using a 5-ft piece between the wall and my computer table in the center of the room. Floor is tile. I cut a 1" semi-circular notch at each end of the center channel so the cords could go up the wall and cover could fit closer to wall. I've got two 12-ga AC cables running through the center channel, one for APC UPS and other for heavy-duty Belkin powerstrip. It's a snug but good fit. The second cable was more work to get in, but I found that holding the cable at a right angle and pushing directly while feeding it in the "curve" of the bent cable made it slip in smoothly. (Trying to push second cable in with my thumbs when flat against the slot was much more difficult.) After a couple days on the floor it got fully flat. It doesn't need any adhesive; stays in place nicely. I'm using it in a one-man design/photography studio, and it does not get a lot of traffic (mostly just me, occasionally a couple others). The exposed portion is only about 3 feet. Maybe for a longer run where there is more traffic by people who might not be expecting a lump on the ground, it might be useful to tack it down in a few places with adhesive on the underside. But overall, it's heavy, flat and sticks well. 5 stars for functionality. My only complaint would be color choices. In my low-traffic situation, I don't need it to be too obvious. No one is going to trip on it. I've got light tan tile. I got a grey cover, but would have preferred tan cover. (BTW, the grey is nice. Good neutral color and nice medium tone. If there'd been a warmer tone of grey as one of the choices, it would have been perfect for my specific use here.)

Perfect
The center hole was larger than I thought and for that, I am VERY grateful. I bought the cover thinking I could cut it in half to house the 3 wires I was trying to run in 2 separate strips.. I was extremely happy when I discovered all 3 would fit in the center groove, especially as cutting this in half would have required some act of God.. its VERY SOLID, and WIDE. I was looking for exactly this information when I bought it but it wasn't in any review so I hope this helps you. In the center groove I fit: 1 Outdoor rated electrical Extension cord, a normal thickness HDMI cable, and a thinner cable which leads to a 3.5mm plug which is a typical headphone audio-out wire. [leading to plug for wireless headphone receiver on the other side of the room in my case] In other words .. its VERY large and it ships FLAT in a long box. When it arrived I tried to remember if I had ordered a set of ski's, and I don't ski... When I opened it I was very surprised that it was actually the runner. This one may cost more but I am so lad I chose this one. I suggest you do the same!

Great for shop use
This cord cover met all my criteria: heavy-duty, the 1/2" tall enclosure easily fit my 3/8" dia. cord, AND precisely the odd length, 30 in., that I was seeking. It came tightly coiled and quite stiff but a spell at room temperature then warmth from a gas fireplace (hairdryer would also work) served to flatten it. Should hold-up very well on the floor of my workshop. Well worth the price.

Just an OK cover
Just an alright cord cover in my opinion. SUPER stiff and difficult to flatten out. Bought this cover about 3 weeks ago and the edges ares till curled. I was also disappointed that it did not come with any tape or adhesive whatsoever. Luckily I had my own tape from a different brand of cover. It's also quite wide. I knew it would be on the wider side from the dimensions on here but I didn't expect it to be as wide as it is. Overall, I'm not disappointed but I am also not 100% satisfied.

Just what we needed!
We just got some new electronics that need to attach to our modem to realize their full potential. Problem is, the modem is across the room, and the cord will sit blocking an entry from the breakfast room to the den. So we purchased two of these, a 10 foot one and a 5 foot one. I had to cut both of them to fit and they sit right next to each other. I am not sure I needed them, but I added some velcro strips on the portion across the entryway just in case the cord cover decided to move. Though these came rolled up, they flattened out nearly immediately and are hard enough to really protect the cords. The color also fits well with our dark stone floor. I am very pleased.

Very tough, heavy duty, high quality covers
These are ultra heavy duty, and are heavy. I was able to run three powered, USB2 extension cords plus an RG11 cord with velcro wraps inside the wire carrier. They come coiled up by go to a flat configuration in short order. At about 60 degrees F, it took about ten minutes for the covers to completely flatten out. The advertisement suggests that the covers could take automobile traffic, and while I have not driven any cars over them, they clearly appear capable. I am in the long habit of buying the higher quality, more rugged items as I have found that to be less expensive over the long term. This is a prime example of spending a bit more to save money. I have had lesser cord covers that eventually succumbed to rough treatment and UV light (I use them outside to connect monitors and observing equipment). These are impressive and a good example of what I look for.

Crazy packaging
It is sent curled up in a plastic package with a note saying to uncurl place under a hair dryer for 10 minutes. NOT TRUE. Had it by and then on top of electric heat baseboards for almost 1 hour before it would uncurl a bit but the ends I had to tape down to stay in place. The only reason to buy this is to save space because it is shorter than most. After about 6 weeks use it would not stay flat, would not stay in place so I threw it out. SAVE your money. DO NOT buy this.
