This little guy works just great and it's exactly what I needed
This little guy works just great and it's exactly what I needed. I bought the Loctite mounting putty and I use it to stick the target plate the the exterior of the wall of a building I need to measure. The laser light is reflected back at you so it's easy to see, even in some sunlight from a hundred of so feet away. I bought a $25 pair of binoculars to help with seeing the laser reflection from the target plate from a couple of hundred feet away. I recently laid out a floor with this and it's sooooo much better than asking a guy co-worker for help because, you know, they just try and take over instead of just helping what you need help with. Now, I don't have to ask! LOVE ITTTTT

Works as advertised
I bought this product hoping it would magnify the brightness intensity of my laser level in sunlight. I checked it indoors and it seems to double the brightness of the laser level from about 20ft. Next I’ll test it outdoors at 30 ft in sunlight and post a follow up review. If it still increased the brightness by as much I’ll change the review to 5 stars. I also wish it were larger.

Great as laser target for firearm practice
This makes a great inexpensive target for practicing indoors with a laser training device fitted on a firearm. The laser hit shows up bright. Laser training targets range in price form about $25 to over $300 depending on the features. If you don't need the features, such as group display and timer, of the expensive targets or want a target to complement the feature-filled target, this fills the bill

Small
At about 10x7 cm, 4x3 inches, this is small. What's not evident in the photo is the silver backing behind the red plate. I tried this at a distance of about 5 m in winter sun. While it helps A LITTLE to see the laser dot once you've found the target, the problem is to trace the laser *to* the small target. Interestingly, I placed this on an aluminum ladder, and both the shiny aluminum and the shadows of the rungs made it easy to find the red dot. So I suspect it's the silver that does the work, rather than the red. Maybe a sheet of aluminum foil from the kitchen, wrapped around a few cardboard cartons (and ideally casting a shadow on the target) would help at least as much as this product.

Nice....w/ idea for making even better yet!
Excellent! What I've been missing for years. Only thing I could see this needing is something to help it stand on the edge of something such as if you were measuring a log, the target could be placed on top and edge of the log surface, not on the ground next it, like if it were muddy and couldn't measure in that manner. Flawless sale. EXTREMELY fast delivery on this one. Perfect value ratio. Thanks! Rob

Well made product
This is one of those products that I never knew existed (or that I thought I'd ever need)! It's solid and well made. I've used it to help measure an odd sized basement, as well as a very deep backyard. Service from this supplier was quick, efficient and friendly.

Great price, nice features, but could use one more.
Great quality for the price. Works well and the kick stand and magnet are good features. However, there should also be a magnet facing 90 degrees so that you could attach this to something like a steel stud, or the steel wall of a building with the target vertical.
