I fell in love with this deck the moment I saw it. Which it was a fellow tarot reader who showed me her prized possession which was this deck. Its her only. And she has been reading for 20 plus yeas! Now I been reading the tarot for 20 years and been looking for my soulmate deck and here it is. Its blunt, loves to gossip but extremely accurate! Its beautiful and confident. To me its an advance deck and not related to the Waite smith tarot at all! Love that! Its based on the Charles VI or I think the Gringonneur tarot based to amuse King Charles not really to be serious but this deck is a serious deck and gives guidance and details. I think it invokes Archangel Metatron. Well for me it does. It may not be for everyone I know the two of wands offends a lot of people due to its graphic nature but this deck tells it symbolic like we do. Its real. I simply adore the deck. I find if you follow the little booklet and expand your intuition with the cards and build a relationship with the deck that it works great and even more great readings to follow. I hope this helps. :-) also sad to saying that after years of studying this deck I never knew it is considered a marseille type deck. This deck is an advanced deck for sure. It has take me years to learn and I am stilling learning this decks spirit.

Beautifully illustrated card deck. Fantastic artwork. They are copies of one of the original Tarot decks made for the Royal Courts of the 12th-13th centuries. These are actually way too beautiful to use everyday and bend to shuffle! The Artwork is magnificent on these. I suggest buying two of these decks. I collect all the ancient Tarot decks. This is an excellent addition to anyone's collection When I read to help someone, I have a rather unique approach to reading that is steeped heavily into Catholicism and Christianity. I go to an extreme by some people's standards. I also implement Holy Water from Lourdes and the Holy Rosary as I read. I know that our Guardian Angels whisper to us if we would only listen. I ask them to guide me as I help someone in a dilemma and to steer them from evil. Always remember that it is your own energy and that of your client's that bring any deck of cards to life to communicate with you as the best course of action to take in any critical situation. Ultimately, Trust in Christ. The cards are merely a guide or pathway if implemented in a divine method invoking the Lord and Blessed Mother. They are indeed, the Ultimate Guides! God Bless to All.

Standard sized, the gold gilded cards jump out at you! The face of cards contain a lot of metallic looking golden substance as part of design. I thought the edges would be coated or a minimal amt of this but to my surprise its a major part of its design. The classic, medieval, original design of this deck and its historical importance is reason enough to buy. I think anyone who enjoys Tarot and collects decks will appreciate this one. I think price was fair. This deck is for more experienced readers who do not need a lot of info on their cards to discern what it means. I think of Rider- Wait as a deck for beginners which is easy to distinguish major, minor arcana. This was an impulse buy for me. I'm glad however I bought, they are truly beautiful. I've got half a dozen so far. These are the oldest and most attractive design. I love history and when I read they contained designs from one of the oldest decks recorded and had 7 of original cards reproduced and used paintings from this era for the rest, my curiosity was peaked. These are almost too pretty to use.

I immediately connected with these Gorgeous cards and it's now my favorite "go to" deck. Great card stock / quality and again, simply beautiful. I hate to list any negatives however, I do wish they had a little more verbiage as to the meanings and symbolism on each card in the mini book. With that said, these cards do read very intuitively for me and so I don't feel that I really Need the book... but being somewhat new to reading, I like to back up my initial thoughts and clarify with the book. Love this deck, you will have no regrets with this purchase.
