Kastaway's Magnetic Diver (Chartreuse, Super Magnum)

I troll just off the bottom and when the depth would change the diver would hit something and trigger the release.Instead of reeling in and manually reset, you can just give it slack and it resets. No more reeling in reset and let line out all over again. Really a time saver.

The magnetic reset feature works great. I didn't give 5 stars because when it releases from a strike or kelp or because I jerked it to bring it to the surface to reel it in, it doesn't stay on the surface but will pull itself below the surface a few feet and creates a huge drag making reeling it in difficult. Even holding my rod tip as high as I can to improve the line angle to the diver often doesn't help. Redesign needed. Keep the magnetic release and fix it so when it releases and surfaces it will plane on the surface until reset.

I have fished in Alaska for over 20 years. I have used several different types of divers to get down to the silver salmon. I ordered this product for this years trip. We fished the entire week without any issues. The few times we experienced false trips we were able to reset the diet without having to reel it all the way to the boat. Fishing with 175 to 225 feet of line out this feature was well worth the price.Highly recommend

Overall the diver worked as advertised. I think this is a good concept but needs a little more work. First settings 0,1,2or 3 all seemed to trail strait behind the rod tip. In comparison my brother was using Dream Weaver Deeper Divers and you could clearly see the divers pulling away from the rod tip. Second I had to let out over 2 times the amount of line to get to 50 feet, his 90 feet to the 200 feet for the Magnetic diver. The one good thing is when we were in large waves and both divers would trip my brother would have to reel his diver in to reset the magnetic diver reset itself.

I got my order delivered today, it came packed the best I have ever received a package. They took time to pack and tape to perfection. I can not wait to use them to land some fish.

Pulls harder than anything else!! And puts fish in the box😁. Will be buying a few more.
