Very nice and the price is right
Good fast, sharp, auto focus 50 mm lens. The auto focus can seem to hunt around a bit, depending, but it hasn't failed to lock in and take great photos, especially in low light. A good f1.7 lens for $150 is a bargain, considering, and you get dual auto focus with this lens and a Panasonic G85 or similar camera with in-body stabilization. Be warned, on a G85, anyway, I will get an error message "Len's not properly attached". The problem seems to be that all the electrical pins in the lens may not contact the body contacts unless you jiggle the lens ever so slightly after mounting it. It took me a little while to figure this out. Not sure if it's a defect in the camera, lens, or design- but I can get this error putting the kit 12-60 mm zoom as well. I.e., the lens fits secure and tight, but apparently it needs this little jiggle once on to make sure all the contacts seat. I've seen comparisons with the Leica 50 mm f1.4 lens, and frankly, the difference in quality is so minimal, plus the cheaper Lumix lens is quieter and will focus nearer and goes to f22. For me, it's the better choice for these reasons.

AMAZING LENS FOR PHOTO & VIDEO!!!!
So where do I start?! This lens is absolutely amazing to say the least!!! I’m a freelance videographer/filmmaker, but I’ve been playing around with still photos as of late to broaden my skill set. This lens is absolutely fantastic in so many ways. The size and weight are both great. I love the compact form factor hence the reason I’m using the micro 4/3 system. The build quality is pretty good given the fact it’s a plastic lens. It doesn’t feel flimsy. Some reviews claim you can’t attach filters to the lens but you can. You Just have to remove the cosmetic ring. The image quality is super crisp, especially when you’re in good lighting. 25mm (50mm full frame equivalent) is a great focal length and is a must have for any camera owner. The fact it’s a prime lens is great because it forces you to move your camera and be more creative with your shots vs just zooming. This lens has a VERY close focusing distance! It’s nearly macro lens close! In one of the attached photos I literally had my camera sitting on my desk about 7 inches from the power brick I photographed. In that same photo you can also see how shallow the depth of field gets wide open at f1.7! Not to mention the f1.7 aperture comes in handy in low light situations! This is a VERSATILE lens that I HIGHLY recommend! If you don’t have a camera and you’re looking to purchase one. I suggest skipping the kit lens and buy the body only. Let this be your first lens!!! Trust me you won’t regret it! You can’t get that bokeh (blurry back ground) with the kit lenses. The kit lenses aren’t fast enough (have low enough apertures). All images and the video attached were all taken using the LUMIX GH4 & 25mm f1.7 lensIG: AirwayAmmz

Unbeatable at this price!
So far, so good. Very sharp and great quality overall. I'm using it with an olympus body and it works perfectly. I'm very happy with the purchase.

MAKE SURE A LENS HOOD IS IN THE BOX!
First one I received was likely a returned product that Amazon just tossed back on the shelf (or someone selling through Amazon). Had I not read the instructions I wouldn't have even known that this lens came with a lens hood. Fortunately I could return the first one and Amazon quickly shipped me a second one which included the lens hood. Now, onto the actual lens:It's perfect! Quality is sharp, autofocus is SILENT, the focus wheel has two modes (if you turn it fast, it moves the focus fast -- turn it slow and it moves the focus slow ... and it seems quite consistent so there's no guessing on how it'll focus). I can't believe this lens is as cheap as it is with the quality it has for the image. It's lightweight and quite small which makes it a "cute" lens. What's also nice is that it takes 46mm filters like many other Micro Four Thirds lenses. One thing to note is that it's plastic and NOT weather sealed but at under $150, it makes sense that it's like this. Neither of these things affect its quality and I got it for indoor interview shooting anyway. If you've got a Micro Four Thirds and looking for a quick, easy, high quality, and cheap lens, go the nifty fifty route with this 25mm primr Pannyboi. You won't be disappointed.

Great Nifty Fifty
For the price of $149. You get amazing video quality. The build quality is just ok. Using with with Bmpcc 4k. Auto focus with Bmpcc 4k is super fast. Time will tell if the lens will last. Im use to pulling focus but i wanted to try something different with close shots. The bokeh is breathtaking. I will say in low light at f1.7 i have seen better. To be honest the 35mm neewer manual lens is way better in low light. If you're looking for sharp close images in good lighting with perfect bokeh this lens will do a great job with very fast auto focus. For the money other companies may not have auto focus but lens quality is way better. May not be optimal for all situations but for $149 really is a great lens.

Watch for pricing
I was browsing for this one online and from one day to another this baby dropped 100 dollars. I picked it up. I looked the next day and it was back at regular price and it stayed that way for the next week or so. At any rate, I wasn't sure if I wanted this lens. Yes it does feel plastic-y thus a little cheap feeling but this does make it very light weight. As far as size it is bigger than the 25mm Olympus lens. Since I had anticipated returning it I figured I'd mount it on my camera to see what I thought. Wow, I immediately fell in love with this lens. It has excellent image quality, sharp, fast, nice bokeh etc.... My favorite focal lengths are between 19mm- 40mm for candids and some portrait photography. I don't use video much on my cameras but I do need it for one upcoming shoot. I tested out this lens and it is crystal on video, same as its photo capabilities. You really can't go wrong with this lens. At a sale price it was an absolute steel.----Update--- 12/14/18The attached picture is one reason why I love this lens and why I'm sticking with MFT. I just took this lens to on an old entry level Olympus PEN EPL2 and produced this amazing shot. The camera itself is older with slow autofocus, but that combo with this lens really worked. I also have a brand new G9 and I'm scared to see what absolute beauty this lens can produce with a better camera body. I'm not a hoarder...well maybe I am. Anyway, I would consider buying another one of this lens to have just incase something happens to this one. I just review the Canon 10-18 which I love and called it a great value, but this lens might just be on a whole 'nother level. This does not look anywhere close to any lens at this price point. Since getting my G9 I'm pulling out all my old lenses and this did not disappoint. It exceeded all of my expectation. Buy now and buy it fast!

An excellent lens that deserves a spot in your camera bag
OverviewWhile this isn't my favorite lens (that would be the Olympus 45mm/1.8), this is currently a very close second. This is an excellent lens, especially for low light. The only reason why this isn't my favorite lens is that for my particular uses, the 45mm is a more useful focal length. For most people, however, the 25mm is probably a way better focal length. I don't believe you can get a faster lens than this one at such a low price. The Good Parts* Inexpensive at just over $200* Good all around focal length for most people* Sharp and good color* Metal mount* Fast F1.7 aperture means you can use a lower ISO in low light* Good AF speeds (your mileage will vary, depending on the camera you are using)* Comes with lens hood* Lightweight* Good bokeh* Well madeCould Be Better* A little chunky (volume-wise, it's bigger than my 45mm)

Sorprendente
