Excellent floor for multi-purpose room
This project is a 3-car garage and storage area located in central Texas that is used as a multi-purpose room with an apartment above. Other floor coverings considered were concrete stain, Race Deck plastic tile, and porcelain tile. We ordered about a dozen Advanta Tuff Seal floor tiles for a closer look at the product's physical properties and colors and decided to use the product. It is much more comfortable than concrete or porcelain tile and easy to clean. There is a very slight smell that is not noticeable after the garage door is opened.Install suggestions -The tiles are individually heavy; packed in cartons that are very heavy; and shipped on pallets that can weigh over 2000 pounds, so make sure you have some muscle to help with the project. If your project involves trimming many tiles, I suggest you use a table saw. The tiles are best installed during mild or warm temperatures. Although the installation instructions specify completely installing each row before starting the next row, we found that we could not keep the tiles in the subsequent rows square and the tile corners would not fit. The method that worked best for us was to complete the first row, then start the subsequent rows at about 4 tile intervals.
