Convenience Concepts Oxford 1 Drawer Console Table with Shelves, Cobalt Blue

After reading all the reviews and people having problems with assembling, I still took a chance because I liked the color. The only imperfection I saw is a tiny crack in the foot where the plastic feet already came nailed in. All pieces came well packaged, well painted, and pre-drilled. I was indeed very careful not to over tighten. At some point there was one piece that had 4 screws to be tightened. I was careful, tightening like one full rotation at the time on all 4 screws. Until they were all sufficiently tightened. And nothing cracked. Actually all holes lined up perfectly, and cabinet pieces line up to each other. The instructions say not to use electric drill for tightening for a reason. I see that the new version I received already had drawer slide railings attached. Which was nice, because I saw a review that two of the same side were sent, and another review explaining how to attach them properly. No need to worry, as manufacturer started attaching those before packaging. The instructions were okay, I didn’t find errors. But you do need to look ahead, if not understanding which way to attach a piece. Next step showed why the side had to be up or down. Cabinet is nice and sturdy. The drawer opens and closes smoothly. Please note that the drawer knobs in my pictures I purchased separately, it came with simple knobs of the same color as the cabinet. So if you want to make it fancy, buy cute knobs.

This is a story with a good ending. We purchased this console table for an accent wall and it turned out to be a great and lovely addition to our remodeled apartment. We read some of the reviews which mentioned assembly challenges. I found the assembly instructions clear and easy to follow. My only issue was with the shelf & side panel bolts and lock nuts. I ran into a few sets that were not threaded well (not cross threaded) on both sides of the lock nut. I should have checked that all eight sets threaded completely through. When tightening one side of the bottom shelf, the bolt and lock nut felt tight, but was not completely seated. I then tightened a bit more which resulted in the lock nut rotating, in turn splitting the bottom support bar. It turned out three more sets of bolts would not completely thread with the lock nuts. I contacted Convenience Concepts and spoke with their awesome Illinois customer service team as mentioned in the assembly instructions and they could not have been more gracious and supportive. I explained my issue with the bolts not completely treading through the lock nuts and the split support bar. The customer service team confirmed my product color and within a day shipped out my parts via 3-day mail. They sent me a very supportive email with the shipping information and tracking number. The parts arrived with eight pairs of bolts and lock nuts already threaded. The nuts/bolts and replacement support bar were very well packaged and the console table is now well constructed and a great fit for our home. In their email to me, Convenience Concept stated “100% Customer Satisfaction is our main goal.” I was very impressed with their customer service and support. And would completely agree that they have met their goal. It’s reassuring to experience this again.

This console table is a solid budget-friendly option if you want something simple that adds both storage and style. It has a clean farmhouse look with the X-frame sides, and the size works well for entryways, behind a sofa, or smaller spaces. The drawer is useful for keeping small items out of sight, while the two lower shelves give you room to display decor or store everyday things. It’s made from manufactured wood, so it’s lightweight and easy to move, but it doesn’t feel like heavy solid furniture. Assembly is fairly straightforward, though like most flat-pack pieces, instructions can take a bit of patience. The overall design is practical and versatile, just don’t expect premium materials.

Beautiful Entryway Table! Husband verified he found it easy to assemble, hadall parts included, finished drawers slide beautifully and shelves strong. Fit perfectly in our entry hall, and we love our choice of the gray color. Very happy with this purchase. 🥳

The table arrived promptly and included all parts. Assembly was a bit challenging until someone joined me to help. It really is easier to assemble with two people. While attaching the bottom support bar (#9) I accidentally attached it backwards which then placed the lock nuts (m) in the front. I had it all together before I realized my error. It didnt affect the structure in the least, but left the 2 lock nuts visible on the front on the table. I covered them with two of the 8 stickers included in the original package that were meant for the 4 visible lock nuts showing on each side panel. This left one uncovered lock nut showing per side panel. I contacted customer service and asked them to send another packet of same colored stickers so I could not only cover the exposed lock nuts on the sides, but would also have extra in case they were ever needed. The customer service center is phenomenal! Even though the error was my fault entirely, they sent the stickers out the same day they received the request and at no additional charge to me. I highly recommend this sturdy console table, and any other items available from Convenience Concepts. This company truly cares about good customer service.

Item is just as described. Was easy to assemble and makes a perfect TV stand for my 47” tv.

I love this little table. The color is perfect. I had someone else assemble it for me, so I can't say how that went. It is sturdy and holds a LOT! I needed something with a slim profile and this is great!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL HARDWARE BEFORE ASSEMBLING! AND MAKE SURE TO MATCH THE HARDWARE TO THE PICTURES BECAUSE SOME OF THE PIECES LOOK IDENTICAL, BUT ARE A DIFFERENT LENGTH/SIZE. PLEASE listen to the other reviewers about the instructions being poorly written. It mostly only shows pictures and a VERY vague description of how to assemble the pieces together. If you are not careful with how you assemble this product, you will mess it up. If you have Asperger's or ADHD like I do, this product is not for you. You will get very frustrated easily, and I consider myself to be a handy person. If you have a LOT of patience, are a handy person (especially if you are familiar with tools and hardware included, such as cambolt and screw) then I recommend this product for you. You will be pleased (and feel a HUGE sense of relief) once you're done. Also, do NOT overtighten. Loosely screw in the hardware to make room for mistakes, and once you're close to finishing it, tighten everything up! Pros: -Seems sturdy (enough) -Very dense wood, so you can tell it's not entirely cheap -Looks nice when fully assembled, and done CORRECTLY -Comes with an allen wrench Cons: -Hardware was mislabeled, which made me think I was missing pieces when I already started assembling it. Good thing I looked at all the hardware and matched them up to the picture. -This is EXTREMELY difficult to put together. It's nearly impossible to make room for mistakes. -When putting in the cambolt and screw, the pre-drilled holes were not big enough, so it ended up stripping some of the wood. I had to use a phillips screw driver to make the holes wider. -The instructions are poorly written. If you're not a visual person and depend on written instructions, then you're SOL. You will require a LOT of help. -You must provide your own screw driver (having both a flathead and a phillips will help tremendously), and a cordless drill with an assortment of screw drillbits for easier assembly, in case you lose patience. Considering that I bought this on sale for $77 when the original price is $121, it's a VERY good value for my money. It's sturdy, dense, and looks nice. You can tell it's not a cheap table. It will, however, scratch up, so handle this product with care. I recommend this product ONLY to people who have a LOT of patience, are handy, and/or have someone to help them with assembling it who is also fairly handy. This is best when done with two people. Beautiful piece! Especially love the colour, it goes very well with my new living room furniture. My only issue is it showed up damaged but didn’t realize until it was almost all put together. So I’d have to say the quality control is definitely not on the ball when product made or packaged.

Not happy with it, a lot of marks and scratches, looks like was taken from display, like used.
