This is the best CoD since Black Ops 2
I've only been playing CoD since Black Ops 2, so I've only played Black Ops 2, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare thoroughly but I have dabbled in past CoD's. My perception is not limited by nostalgic expectations. This is the best CoD since Black Ops 2, and from what little experience I have with MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 1 and World at War, likely the best CoD to date. The old games were fine for their time but pale in comparison to Black Ops 3. Nostalgic fans who are resistant to change will be disappointed at another evolution in mechanics and theme, so if you are one of the vets hoping for some classic CoD, this is not for you and CoD may never be again (save remasters like the upcoming MW1 remaster). However if you are a versatile FPS fan looking for a faster pace, more fun and truly next gen reinvention of CoD, then this is a perfect game. New mechanics to switch up the gameplay and give you much more maneuverability as well as actual different characters with different abilities, making the game way more exciting and competitive than past CoD's ( moreso than Advanced Warfare, as much as the old heads will hate that I said that AW is the closes in competitiveness). The game's campaign is honestly not that great but few people play CoD for campaign these days. The campaign is online MP and has a progression system and calling cards so if you do like campaign then you will be glad for this, and hopefully this will transfer to future CoD's. Once you beat campaign there is another zombies campaign, Nightmare Mode (might be available from the beginning now) and while the campaign is pretty much the same levels with zombies, it's still a second option and was a neat idea.. personally hoping Treyarch will do better with that in the future. Multi Player is solid. Wall running, thrust jumping, sprint reloading and shooting, specialist weapons and abilities, cool outfit customization options... if you are an FPS fan and aren't polluted by negativity then you will love this. They also have a Dark Matter camo which you get for getting diamond for all weapons. Also, Zombies is pretty good. I haven't played it like I did Black Ops 2 but I have completed everything aside from trophies and easter eggs. Zombies now has calling cards and weapons you unlock and can level up, which are leveled up as soon as you get them from the wall or box. You customize upgraded guns with your choice of attachments. There are some cool reticles and camos for zombies too. I was hoping for better progression in zombies but it is definitely an improvement compared to nothing. Hoping for more updates with future DLC, like Extinction had when the armory came out. Zombies also has gobblegum as well, which are basically perks that are too good to last until you get downed, so they are single use or last for short durations. Gobblegum options unlock as you level up and playing also gets you vials that you can use to gamble for mega gobblegum, hwich are way better than the standard gobblegum. DLC comes with more gobblegum and there are some really good ones in DLC 2, still waiting on DLC 3 and 4. There is also free run mode which is a timed trial to get through an obstacle course, and there is Dead Ops Arcade 2. Both of these aren't that great in my opinion, but still add to make up a large amount of content in this game. There are definitely improvements I want to see in the next Treyarch game, but that's to be expected with so many new ideas packed into a single game. This is definitely an improvement upon the five star Black Ops 2

Fun game to play with friends and yourself.
I have played this game for a while now. The campaign takes a couple days to finish and the story really hooks you in the gameplay. It's sometime stressful but you can finish it. Onto the multiplayer, it's real fun until you die. There are choices to choose from different classes this time.Classes:Outrider: bow and explosive arrows, has ability to see enemy's through walls.Reaper: arms tranform into a cyborg like minigun that will tear up anything that crosses paths. Special ability is a glitch type teleport, once charged you basically teleport back to an area you were in a couple seconds ago - good for getting out of tricky situations.Seraph: armed with a one hit kill pistol, special ability is the combat focus that increases your score streak for a limited time.Ruin: you are armed with gravity spikes which makes a good explosive melter attack. Takes a little bit to long but if you time it right, it can be rewarding. Special ability is overdrive, you speed up your actions for a short burst of time.Fun multiplayer, with different types of classes to pick from but no character customizations other than guns.Zombies:Fun but with only one big map like advanced warfare. You advance your way through by buying doors or finding the right tools to get your way into areas. Wish there were more than just one big map, I liked black ops 2 zombie maps better. But new added weapon kits and gobble gums is something real good. You can turn into a monster this time by going to one of the goblets but there can only be one of those monsters in the team and it will only last a little. The perks and random gun box is still in here lol forgot what it was called.Overall: black ops 3 takes steps forward and backwards. Good looking game, specialist classes and class creating but online is fun until you die. Good game to play with friends and yourself. New games also come with a free futuristic nuketown map.Cons:Spawn trappingCustom camo doesn't cover most of the gunRanks seem too longMatchmaking needs helpPros:Hit detectionFeels like black opsClasses give a Gucci touch to the game.Good graphicsNice paint shopNew game mode safeguard10 point create a classUp to 6 attachmentsNo panic knife

Poor online gameplay - not for new customers of COD
I have played the game for a couple of weeks. In that short time, there has been at least one update for the online networking features (this is a game that has been out for a couple of years) and the game has crashed a number of times. I'm an adult gamer, new to COD and of moderate skill. For a game that is technically impressive, online gameplay is terrible. Activision clearly does not care to add new players/customers. If you are new to COD games you will likely be terribly frustrated as not only will you not have the more advanced weapons, etc. (fair enough), the online matching system will put you in matches against players who have played a long time (you won't have a chance). Activision's own stats are very informative in this regard - only 46.9% of players have reached level 10 (this is a very low level and will only take several hours) in online multiplayer play (this is considered a "rare" achievement). Only 23.9% of players have reached level 55 in online multiplayer play. To put this in context, some online players that beginners will have to play against have reached (and presumably maxed out at) level 1000 (this is actually more like level 1550, because you have to cycle through levels 1-55 ten times before you can advance to level 56). Wow. 3/4 of players won't play the online game long enough to get to level 55 (which is still a fairly beginner level)! The spawning system is ridiculous - the game will spawn opposition players behind you (you will die). It will also spawn you in front of opponents (you will die). It will spawn you in the middle of a firefight (you will die). It is surprising that Activision cares so little about adding new players (and new customers), that it has skewed gameplay much to the advantage of more advanced players. New players should be matched with/against new and moderate level players - advanced players should play only against advanced players (or those willing to do so). What should have been an interesting strategy game (with lots of action) has been turned into a frenetic arcade game.If you are new to COD, save yourself the frustration and don't give Activision your money.

A little disapointed!
The game itself is great and arrived earlier than expected. I was over-joyed when I saw that instead of sending me the standard edition they sent me the Gold Edition, but when I went to redeem the DLC pack that came with the gold edition the redeem code was invalid. I tried every possible way to redeem it but, it still read invalid. Still very pleased with purchase.

Works great!!!
Game is in amazing shape. Seller sent out my item and it arrived well before the date I needed it to be here. Game is already a well/most played here in the house so far. If / when I buy another game I will definately be checking this seller before any others! Prices were the some of the best I have seen on here.

Awesome game!
Great idea with the Co-op gameplay especially for the Campaign mode. It is very hard to find good games that have Co-op Split screen anymore. The Zombies mode was nice and overall just a huge step up from previous Call of Duty games however, I was not that big of a fan when it came to all the futuristic things like the wall running. Online gameplay was similar to the previous Call of Duty games. Overall a great game but was definitely not something that was as much a breakthrough as Black Ops 2 was.

Best COD in years
Finally a COD with proper zombie mode, that's all I've been waiting for! Campaign is same old action packed adventure. The story deals with the use of AI and robots to create better soldiers, but can this cause issues? Multiplayer is fun with great maps. BO3 uses predefined "heros", so it kind of feels like a MOBA in a way, but there were some new unique game mods introduced. The gun customization has good depth and you can now create you own painjobs for your guns.
