BOSSES-8 Effects Switching System

Great switcher-looper but be prepared to do a little reading if you are not familiar with all the functions. I am still learning how to maximize its potential. But so far the tone and sounds I have created have giving me a lot of inspiration to play my guitar!! When I have questions I send an email to Roland (Manufacturer) and they get back to me with in a day or two with an answer. BY doing it all yourself you get a better understanding of how this jewel can work for you!

This is the best solution to easily switch multiple pedals on a pedal board. Very easy to set up and program. Extremely versatile. And Boss has excellent customer service and tech support.

As described. Amazing product, could be used in many ways, it allows several configurations.

Since late 2017 this has been my go to pedal switcher and it still looks like its brand new. This thing can run a simple set up to some of the most complex rigs out there. For a basic switcher it can be very straight forward but that's not why you buy this. This is for if you want to start placing pedals in different orders on the fly, using midi channel switching, doing channel switching for different amps and running a stereo rig. That being said you and the owners manual and YouTube probably some Google will become best friends.Check out all the videos on YouTube you will be surprised at all this thing can do.Don't make my mistake!On the back where all the patch cables go you will need to use straight plugs or just 90's on the bottom row. I made the mistake and ran 90's for most of it and I have a big ball of wires sticking up at the one end. 100% my mistake but at the time I needed to get this running and didn't have time to wait for new connectors to come. Here we are almost 6 years later and I still have not ordered a new patch cable kit (not fixing what isn't broken)Like anything Boss makes this is over built and will service even the roughest of pedal stompers out there. I have no issues with noise. Never has it lost its settings like some models out there from other companies. Over all if you have a big board and tired of the pedal tap dance this is a great switcher to check out.

This thing is awesome!!! If you want to stop the foot dance then this is the ticket but it does so much more than that!!!

Worth the price!

Unbeatable in price and features. It does virtually everything and you can make it as simple as you want. If you need only basic functions , you have them, but you can control also midi pedals easily and in detail, pedals with additional footswitches or with exp in, amps channels etc. I only wish it had one or two more loops .

Tienes una super computadora en tus pies, si ya has usado algún multiefectos boss, se te hara intuitiva la interfaz y la manera de hacer presets, en todo caso, viene con un manual que de igual manera te explica facilmente todo!Sin duda alguna vale cada centavo, su construccion, no quita nada nada de tono y lo mejor es que deja cambiar la secuencia de los pedales, el orden de cual va primero o ultimo sin necesidad de desconectar y conectar pedales para hacerlo

Wer Midi-Pedale nutzen will und umfangreiche Einstellmöglichkeiten braucht, kommt an einem solchen Switcher nicht vorbei. Das Boss ES-8 ist dabei extrem vielfältig und bringt mit 8 Loops (davon 2 Stereo) alles mit, was ich benötige.Ich nutze es mit der 4-Kabel Methode im FX Loop meines Engl Amps und bin bisher mit keinerlei Macken konfrontiert worden. Das Menü ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und wie man es von Boss gewöhnt ist, nicht immer selbsterklärend. Aber wenn man die wichtigsten Funktionsweisen und Menüpunkte gefunden und verstanden hat, geht die Programmierung problemlos von statten.Ein Manko, was mich etwas stört, sind die sehr nah aneinander liegenden In- und Outputs. Da muss man schon schauen, dass man keine zu dicken Kabelstecker verwendet.Dennoch eine Empfehlung von mir.

Un buen switcher para poder cambiar entre varios efectos con una sola pulsación. Fácil manejo y buena construcción. Pensé en ir por su hermano mayor, el ES-8, pero el ES-5 me es suficiente. Si no usas demasiados loops es una buena solución. Si en cambio usas muchos pedales, mejor ir por el ES-8. Compra recomendada

Just received it today!Came packed wellI got it from panoply Digital @ ₹ 67000.However it may take some time for me to use this to its full potential. The learning curve is huge.

非常に多機能でループ数も多いので満足です。特に良いと思ったのは音切れのなさ。完全にシームレスにパッチが切り替わります。また、エフェクターの並びを変えられるので置き方も自由にできたり、並列接続も可能なので音がつぶれるような歪みとローゲインの歪みを並列に並べて音を作るみたいなことも可能です。逆にちょっと不満な部分としては、並列に並べたときにそれぞれの音のミックス具合が調整できない点と、PCにつないでエディットすることができないため操作が大変という点です。ただ、それ以上にメリットが圧倒的なので、買って損はありません。
