Lovely, very feminine

This is how I used my hankies, for a valance in my main bathroom. Everyone loves it. The hankies are of very good quality and beautiful.

Bought these to go with some gifties for my bridesmaids. They are all so cute and a great thickness, although a little stiff. Lightweight, but thicker than the old fashioned hankies. My girls loved them!

I had bought these handkerchiefs as a durable substitute for facial tissue. The fabric, at least initially, is rougher than my nose expected, but I think that drawback will disappear after a few more washings. They are sturdy enough to stand up to frequent use, absorbent enough to do their job, and pretty enough to make carrying them a secret pleasure. I noticed very little shrinkage after washing them. In fact, they press out to about the same size as they were purchased. (They tend to ball up when washed, so use of a lingerie bag, and an iron are suggested.) They may not be as soft as a tissue, but they can tolerate more uses than a tissue, too. And, if they are forgotten in a pocket, they don't leave paper shreds throughout the whole load of laundry, either! I would buy them again.

Pretty

These handkerchief weren't as good as I expected them to be. They aren't as soft and after washing them the fabric was very drying not soft.

Back in the 70's I started a 'fad' with the girls in my little western town. I started folding and letting pretty hankies hang out of the back of my jeans. Years later, after losing and using all the old ones I found these on Amazon and started using them again. What do you know!!! The fad started again when I noticed girls I didn't even know (younger generation) with little hankies hanging out of their Wranglers! I LOVE them!

The size was perfect. I purchased a different brand a couple of years ago and they were much smaller. I love the colors and designs. I’m a little old fashioned and like to carry one in my purse all the time. These handkerchiefs are perfect!

Love these hankies. Great to have handy and it's pretty. I also use it to prevent skin irritation from bra straps.

I see people re-use paper tissue throughout the day, stuffing the damp paper back into their pocket, and then handling it to reuse it again later. This is no different from how many people have traditionally used hankies. However, to err on the side of caution AND because in my particular situation I have to use them a lot, I opt to use more than one a day if I think one has had to handle a good blow LOL <<<< On to the review... I wanted to switch to hankies, on and off over the years, because my allergies mean I go through a lot of disposable paper products. Manufacturers crossed the line when they started putting additives in their tissues. And worse, not disclosing the ingredients! I decided to try these ones because they were a size I was looking for, nice patterns, good price for an experiment, and decent reviews. As mentioned above I use at least one a day, sometimes up to 3. People have reviewed that threads start to come apart so I've been hand-washing mine. At the end of the day I rinse them out give them a wash and air dry them overnight. They dry super fast. (As an aside, I feel they get a good scrub by using a mini washboard that I bought prior, from Amazon). However, by air drying it they do end up kind of stiff and I noticed they had become a little rough on my nose. EASY FIX: part way through the drying process, or before folding them up (I certainly don't bother ironing an item like this), I scrunched them into a ball and then stretch them flat. This breaks up the "cast" that can stiffen the threads and has worked wonderfully for me! I like that they are sufficiently small that I can throw two or three of them in my tiny shoulder bag without any problem. I also like that they can double as a sturdy little "mop up towel" in case one drips or spills something...unlike tissue which will pretty much turned to mush. I plan to buy more, and definitely recommend :)
