Q: Is shade 3 enought when working with a torch?

Depends on the type of torch. For oxy acetylene welding or cutting 3 is bare minimum probably not enough

Q: Are these shade 3 could they be worn to look into a glass fusing kiln

IR3 Welding lenses filter low levels of infrared light produced during gas welding, brazing, and torch cutting. These green tinted welding lenses provide protection from harmful UVC rays. Please refer to you kiln's owner's manual for what would be the best protection.
