Amazing Invention
I’m sure we’ve all been faced with the roadblock of the stripped screw. My heart drops because this type of mishap can slows down work progress tremendously. I work on antique furniture. I repair and beautify these gorgeous time pieces. I bring them to life! I’m a furniture artist. So when I come across these screws that are stripped, I used to be left with a feeling of hopelessness. I’ve even wanted to give up. I’ve used my own techniques which were long and tedious and required wood repair afterward bc I really tore up the wood. Not anymore. Not with this product! I searched and searched for a hack and a solution to the stripped screw issue. This product will keep me on a steady course now. I’m so relieved and so happy to have found this product! As usual, Amazon delivers a fine product, easy to find and arrives quickly with FREE SHIPPING!!!

Make SURE you use a power drill, not a battery operated drill!!!!!
Well, I ordered this to hopefully get out the stripped phillips head to replace the broken door hatch on our clothes washer. This screw wasnt moving and of course in anger I stripped it. So it brought me to order the speed out, pretty scepticle after reading the mixed reviews on Amazon. Of course when I got it, it did nothing. So after several other crazy attempts including drililng the center of the screw, I said what the heck lets try again. Well the second time, in about 3 minutes it was out. Difference?? Need to make sure you are using a power drill, the drills with the battery packs dont do the job, which is what I used the first time. Second time on the power drill, it was a done deal.................very happy i purchased these and gave em more than one chance!!!!

Junk......stay away!
Needed to take out a bolt with broken head from our Nissan Murano license plate holder. Used this Speedout extractor bit. First I used a punch to mark the center of the bolt so that the drill bit wouldn't walk. Used the drilling end of the Speedout bit in a reverse mode, after about 20 seconds the drill tip broke off (see the pic), rendering it to of no use. I then switched to my Dewalt drill bit which drilled a tiny hole. I now switched to the extractor side of the Speedout, and tried to take out the bolt in reverse direction. Nothing happened whatsoever. I watched a YouTube video where the guy used the same bit that I used, which didn't work. He then switehed to the next size up and that did tthe magic. Unfortunately, not in my case...it didn't work. In fact, it slipped off and I almost made a hole into the body of the vehicle. Before buying the product I researced quite a bit, and decided to get this popular name brand. It's a worst piece of junk!!! However, the customer service agent apologized and refunded my money without me having to return the item. I put it right into the trash.

Depends on what it is you are looking for.
This product of 4 drill bits comes in a little black plastic case. The case is a bit hard to open given the opening latch is so small. The instructions were separate from the case even though the product states the instructions are inside.I have not used these bits multiple times yet so I cannot speak to the material they are made of wearing down. With regards to shipping, it arrived in a timely manner.I found this product to work very well on a Phillips stainless steel 1 1/2" #8 screw. Following the instructions, I used the #2 bit to get the stripped screw started. Then I switched to the #3 bit and using the B side only, the stripped screw came right out. I don't know that this is a product for people who work in the construction industry or people who do a lot of drilling around home, but for me when I run across a stripped screw now, I'm glad those bits are in my little household tool box.

Must have for any tool box.
Anyone that does any kind of work with screws has come into contact with a stripped screw. You try everything you can from applying more pressure with the drill or screwdriver to hammering in some other bit to try getting a good enough grip to get the stubborn screw out. Well after seeing this kit numerous times I figured I'd get it for when that time comes, which as a mechanic you come across stripped screws often. In the numerous times I've used the bits since I got them I have yet to fail at getting the screw out. The bits are very easy to use, the drill side has nice sharp cutting edges to help you dig into the screw, then simply flip the bit and extract the screw. Awesome kit and well worth the money!

Surprisingly easy and effective.
I was skeptical at first; the threaded end didn't look like it would do much, and the cutting end looked like it would just make a shallow divot. But I had a cheap and badly stripped screw driven halfway into a piece of ipe to contend with, and grabbing it with pliers (further damaging the shallow head) was not doing the trick. Flaking plating, pot metal, totally reamed-out philips head, the whole messy shebang. The bits are perfectly engineered for both ball-detent and wire-detent use, so I chucked the second-smallest bit in an el-cheapo wireless screwdriver, cutting end out, set it to reverse, and went after the center of the screw head. The cutting end easily cleaned up the hole, and spun freely once it was (very quickly) done with its job. Then I flipped the bit, left the screwdriver on reverse, and went after the center of the screw head again. the threaded end of the bit grabbed the screw quick as you please and backed it right out.Speed Out indeed. I'm a convert.

Packaging needs improvement
Case arrived with no label on outside. Label on inside says “Complete construction guide underneath.” But there is no guide underneath. Top of case arrived already half cracked off.
