Helpless Millennial Male's Best Friend...
Shameless Truth: I have no idea how to use an iron. Sure, I could probably figure it out in a pinch, but Downy Wrinkle Release does a plenty adequate job of unwrinkling dress shirts so as to be wearable in a professional setting without issue. My method of clothing care is as follows: 1) Throw all dirty clothes, unsorted, into washing machine (pants, socks, dress shirts, underwear... everything), using more detergent than is likely necessary and setting the machine to heavy duty and high temp. 2) Once done in wash, I transfer everything to a single dryer within--hopefully--a few hours (to avoid that mildew smell from clothes hanging out in the washer for too long). 3) Set dryer to high and let her rip for 80 or so minutes (whatever the max time setting may allow). 4) Usually several hours (if not a day or so later), I go to unload the dryer, removing only the items that do not wrinkle or for which wrinkles do not matter (i.e., socks, underwear, undershirts, maybe some pairs of heavier jeans, etc.). 5) For the remaining wrinkled items (usually just dress shirts, some polos, and thinner-material pants), I liberally coat them with the Wrinkle Release spray, and start the dryer back up for maybe 20 minutes. 6) I then remove these articles promptly for hanging, and nine times out of ten, everything is relatively wrinkle free and perfectly acceptable for wear! Should some wrinkles remain, a touch more of Wrinkle Release (especially when the clothing is still warm from the dyer) goes a long way to "ironing" out the persistent ones. Plus, I like the way Downy's product smells, so it's a nice touch to a good washing session. Am I lazy? Yes. Does the above system work? Yes -- for the most part. The Wrinkle Release method of "ironing" is NOT for the overly vain or for those otherwise seeking perfectly pressed clothing. At the end of the day, it gets the job done, and I don't have to dedicate time to actual, formal ironing (or, well, even learning how to iron in the first place).

Very helpful, removes stubborn wrinkles
This is very useful. Spray stubborn wrinkles in garment while on hanger, and briefly brush arm over area. I let it dry before putting item in my closet. I did unknowingly buy some very cheap synthetic clothes. It has not helped for these.

We couldn't get by without this spray in our household
I use this Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus spray on an almost daily basis whether I'm headed to work or need to spruce up my clothes before going out on the weekend. In my opinion, it's the best anti-wrinkle spray on the market, particularly when compared to another brand I've used from time to time. Unfortunately, this brand isn't stocked at the grocery store we most frequently shop at, so instead of making a special trip somewhere else, I'll be ordering it on Amazon when I need it. My wife uses this spray also and loves it. Downy's Wrinkle Releaser Plus is a simple blend made of fiber relaxers, water, quality control agents, and perfume. There's a thickness to the liquid that gets wrinkles out with just a few swipes of my hand, and it doesn't take a lot of sprays to do so. The directions on the bottle say to "tug & smooth" clothing after spraying, and that undoubtedly gets a great result. But I often simply spray the liquid onto my clothes and then smooth them out with one hand while holding the article of clothing with my other hand. But certainly laying the shirt or pants on the bed and then smoothing them out, and then gently tugging the shirt or pants, gets the best result, probably comparable to the result you'd get when ironing. The odor-eliminating scent of the spray, which is aroma fresco, smells like a warm spring day and truly freshens clothes before you put them on. Another great benefit of this wrinkle-smoothing spray, which I didn't realize until doing this review, is that it has static-removal properties. All in all, this is an item we can't live without in our household since my wife and I don't have the inclination to iron but still want to look presentable in public. If you're the same way, then this wrinkle-eraser spray is a must-have product.

Limited fabric types and for shallow wrinkles only
Works well with T-shirt materials and some jeans but only for slight wrinkles and not for other fabric types. Any deep wrinkles you have will not be removed and will have to use a steamer or iron anyways to get rid of it. But it works in a pinch.

A Must Have in your sweatshop
Let face it: you can’t beat a properly done ironing-job with 2 push-push of fabric softener done in 2 seconds. But you will go from “what is wrong with your shirt?” To “i dont know, i haven’t noticed anything”. I use it for sewing a lot. I spray it on the fabric once in a while (dont go crazy, one push on the pile of fabric) and use distilled water Sometimes too. It is wonderful to prevent threats from drying overtime and break once you sew something thicker than one layer of cotton. I spray on the fabric too. If you’re into cosplay or that e-girl fashion with lots of pleated skirts: YOU NEED THIS. I know not all teens are into ironing (most of them dont know how) But you will get away with no-ironing if you use this spray and hang it flat (maybe a bobby pin or two). Like i said, you cant replace ironing with a spray, but for the time you will save its wonderful. Personally i do both and it smells very good even when heated at high temperature. I absolutely love the smell that it gave to my “at-home sweatshop”. I wouldnt use too much on stretch fabric and athletic fabric if i were you and especially if its hot or attend a convention, it will not breathe as much and you will be sweating intensely. Although if you get overly alkaline water that dries out your clothes, this spray can also prevent your clothes From falling appart. As far as traveling... well, the size of the bottle matters. They do make a traveling size which you can find at the pharmacy or any big store that has a travel section. I poor some from the big bottle into the traveling size bottle when needed. I recommend you do that. As a seamstress I love this product, but have realistic expectations. If you dont like ironing get the no-ironing hot steam thing (however its called) combined with this it works wonders for the time you spend

A must have for me. No more ironing.
This stuff is a lifesaver! Well, a time saver extraordinaire. I have been using Downy Wrinkle Release for years. It has a fresh scent and it gets wrinkles out of almost every fabric with no ironing, steaming, or effort on my part. I spray the item the day before I want to wera it and let it dry overnight. The next day, it's wrinkle free. This works great on cotton but also on synthetics. I have used it on satin and it didn't leave any marks. You just mistitt on the fabric paying attention to the deepest wrinkles and give the item a little tug here and there to straighten it out, then let the spray dry. Bye, bye wrinkles. I even did my new living room curtains while they are on the rod. Those wrinkles were super hard to get out but two applications did it. I love this spray and can't be without it. I haven't had to iron in years. This is also nice to freshen clothes that may smell stale or not freshly washed. A few mists and the clothes smell like they just came out of the dryer.

I absolutely LOVE this product
I absolutely LOVE this product. I first purchased it a few months ago when it was recommended to me by a friend at work. She has two girls under 6 and would often tell me how the wrinkle releaser was a life saver, especially in the mad rush to get her children off to school in the morning. If she pulled out a wrinkled outfit, there was no need to put it back and find another or drag out the ironing board, a few squirts of the wrinkle releaser and everyone was ready to start their day - wrinkle free. As someone who also often experiences a mad rush in the morning and hates to iron in general, I was eager to try it. I first used the product when hanging and folding laundry. Unfortunately, the laundry in my house tends to sit in the basket for a quite a while after coming out of the dryer, leaving many of my husband's nice collared shirts, and my work blouses, littered with wrinkles. In the past, I'd have to pull out my ironing board and say a prayer I didn't burn holes in any of our more delicate shirts. With the wrinkle releaser I lay out the shirt or hang it up, spray both sides, and smooth. In a few short minutes the shirt is dry and my wrinkles gone. No more lugging around the ironing board, worrying about ruining a shirt with an overzealous iron, or making myself late trying to rid my work blouse of a few wrinkles before heading out the door. It's been great for me on all material types including thick jeans, polyester, and silk. It also reduces static cling and the fragrance is very nice too - a fresh scent without being overpowering. Overall, I highly recommend it!!!

Smells like laundry
Great to get those little wrinkles out, and leaves a freshly laundered scent!

By far the most effective of the wrinkle releasers.
I have tried pretty much every wrinkle release product on the market, and this one is noticeably more effective than the others. I also found that these bottles lasted much longer than others, as I didn’t need to use as much to get the clothing crease-free. Additionally, the fragrance is not as strong as the others, one of which (the market leader) gave me an asthma attack! This one just smells like fabric softener and is quite mild. Highly recommend.
