GPS DVD Bluetooth Player In Dash OE Fitment Navigation Radio USB SD Unit for 2013-2016 Toyota RAV4

I was very skeptical about installing this myself on my 2014 RAV4, but getting it done by Best Buy or getting one from Crutchfield was too expensive for just a working stereo (added bonus was GPS) but frankly my OEM stereo died with a stuck update screen and Toyota wanted $1000+ to give another one, and all I needed was a simple working Stereo that fits well in that spot.The box has the stereo and some cables+harness. A small booklet about the usage of the product - NO INSTALL DIRECTIONS! NONE found on youtube that was specific for RAV4 either.Getting the oem radio out was easy. Connecting the cables - most of them was easy as the sockets connect only to correct ones due to the ways they are shaped - so no one can connect them wrong. My reverse camera was not working, but then I read reviews here, and someone mentioned to ensure video cable was connected. And so i noticed the yellow RCA cables were not connected. I connected all Video Back in - to video back in, and other Aux out to in - all color coded. And it all worked PERFECTLY!Getting to learn this thing works , couples things i noticed:1. Music completely stops while in reverse - strange... But continues when in forward gear.2. It has a Phone Link option - was a surprise to me. Allows Android devices to mirror screen. Pretty cool!3. The sound quality is little high in pitch, I tried different equalizer settings, but none were like the previous one. I will get used to it though in couple days.4. The Bluetooth music, does not display song information. This is pretty sad, quite basic imo5. I had asked this earlier but no one had tried/confirmed - so here it is. The Stock USB port and AUX ports both work!6. This Stereo has another USB cable for Phone link, which i had to just let it slide through the side for the time being, but this is the one that is used for Android Phone Link.UPDATE: After using it for about 2 weeks:1. When going into reverse took about 3/4 seconds for the reverse cam to come on. The OEM was instant.---- I have learnt to live with that, and wait until the video feed comes on. Has taught me be more patient, and my wife says it will eventually be good for me in the long run, when we have kids.2. There is constant crackling noise when playing over bluethooth. This comes only after about 15.20 minutes of playing through BT. Is fine initially. Cracking noise is only when playing through Bluetooth - playing songs over Radio/USB is perfectly fine. Cracking noise comes when talking onver BT too; ofcourse it is not a problem in the phone/phone network as - as soon as switched to phone/phone speakers it is fine. This is not helping much, and driving me crazy.3. Not being able to see the name of the song/metadata over BT audio is just a little bit too annoying knowing that is such an old tech - how come it is not in this device...For the (2nd) problem, thought it was an issue with this device, and may be it was defective; got a replacement - this one seems it has newer firmware - but cracking noise is still there. Side note: - Issue with both mine and wife's phone both - one android and another iphone x. Both the units are going back soon.

purchased product looking for gps radio.notice the Otto Navi was right fit for my Rav4 2013..plus alot cheaper than the 500-1200 from Toyoto..Best Buy makes claim on their website they would install even if not purchased from them.not so much..depends on store manager..So i decided to attempt myself..Radio is claimed to be plug and play..not much with instruction booklet..so contacted Otto Navi,sent me instuction on how to install and just hook up harness as they fit.all hooked up good..but had trouble with gps..had bad file..contacted Otto Navi,sent me new download for gps,and instructions for steering contol..installed new program and got steering control to work..Now radio is in all works and looks good..only throwback i have is have'nt figured time set and you have to use touch screen to pick phone numbers to dial,also no music titles show up..other than those items i am good..its a decent radio for the price and Otto Navi will respond to you to make things right..back up camera does work for those wondering..see pictures...

I'm very happy with this head unit, my old unit stopped working went to the dealer and it was going to cost me close to $1,200 to get a new unit (the same model that came with my 2014 rav4) decided to check Best buy and the units there ranged from $300 to $500 without installation , so $100 intallation + $60 for a canbus device that makes the steering wheel control works total was going to be almost $700 and I have to leave my car there for 6 hours.Got this head unit for $299 and it took me 1 hour to install and I'm not an expert, just followed the youtube instructions.Would've give a 5 star rating but, one thing I don't like about it is that when I play songs through Bluetooth like I ❤ radio or pandora it doesn't show a description or title, my old unit used to do that.

Installation was easy. The package contains all cables properly marked. I could open the dashboard and complete the installation in less than half an hour.The unit was able to detect the factory back camera of my car and it worked good. There was some delay in displaying the back camera compared to the unit came with the car.The GPS navigation worked well I have been using it for one month without any trouble. However the navigation system was not able to display the arrival time correctly. The current time and travel time are correct, but arrival time was way too off. It was not a big concern for me anyway.Bluetooth phone connection also works well. One feature I wish it had is speed dials to dial few selected contacts with one touch. Currently I need to go through the call list to make any call. Also if I make calls through the unit the music will stop and will not play the music again when the call is hanged up. I need to change the mode to USB or DVD to play the music again. For incoming calls and calls made through phone this is working properly and music plays back on once the call is hanged up.

I would not buy this unit again, There are no tone controls, all of the optional things that are mentioned that this unit can do or are included are not possible, the wiring harness is entirely different than the factory wiring. To get the unit to work at all you have to use whatever connections that are available, which takes some of the connections that are required for some of the things they say the unit can do. I know this sounds confusing but if they had the correct wiring harness, then yes I could probably give it a better rating. But not today. I have a 2015 Rave4.

Radio was a direct fit for 2015 Rav4. Manual was insufficient, had to pick up tidpits from posts. Confirmed with customer service, the phone line option does not work Android 9.0..deal breaker. Thought the GPS was slow to boot but provided exceptional graphics & direction. Absolutely hated GPS announcements with radio playing. The radio would drop volume for about 4 secs. Audio was definitely louder than stock but quality about the same.
