usefull for builders.
Well made, Firm, Straight and on Point! raw steel swiming in oil, a steep further with Anodized "Colored" or Japaning 'Black" finish options would be nice.

Disappointing purchase
What was pictured and what I received are two different products. The pivot joint on the product I received is not consistent in its functional range. Sometimes very difficult to to adjust, and often impossible to get the measurement correct. These calipers do not function in a reliable and smooth movement as needed in a caliper. Waste of money and time.

The moment you clean these, rust..........
The moment you clean these, they rust. I dry them after washing them off, so it is not from being stored wet. The sticky oil is the only thing that keeps them from rusting, and that is gone on the first cleaning! They work, they are rough, and they rust more and more with time and use. You get what you pay for, and they get rated for what they are.
