So far, so good. Needed post spinal surgery. It takes some pressure off of my lower spine and forces me to have better posture. You do need a break from it every now and then because of the metal bars. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this product.

It hurts on my back It will bend in to my back and then the metal sticks star to pop out. =I

The first one of these we ordered was too small. My wife is an in between size and following the advice in other reviews we ordered xtra small. We liked the concept and thought to try the next size up, small. When it arrived a very critical connection where the Velcro attaches was already pulling away and it was obvious that a couple of good tugs and the whole side would rip out. We were willing to give this item another chance but it is not now available in the small size.

I"m 5'3" 105 pounds, long torso. I ordered the extra small, which is slightly large for me. The brace is long enough to give me some support in the sacral joints, which I like. I may like it better when I take an inch tuck in the front band. It's a little loose as is. I may need to take some small tucks to tailor the upper edge of the garment so there are fewer folds in the upper mesh after a few hours wear.The aluminum stays are easily bendable for comfort but I think plastic stays would work just as well for support.

This is a fairly comfortable back support brace compared to others I've tried. My favorite part about it is that it's so small and easy to hide under a light t-shirt. The rigid bars in the back really help keep your posture straight. I wear this while I'm at work or when I know I'll be out walking or sitting a lot. I have surgery for on my L-4 and L-5 when I was 21 because of injuries sustained in the military so I'm very conscious about my posture and spine health. I was told by my neurosurgeon to not rely on a back brace for extended periods of time. Keeping them on all day will actually weaken your core muscles that are responsible for maintaining your good posture. So like most things, this should only be used in moderation. I'm a man and I'm in really great shape and it fits me great. My wife is also very athletic, has wide hips and deep curves but it fits her great also. This product would NOT fit someone who is overweight, has a sagging stomach, or too much fat at the hips. This is meant for the average, in shape person.
