Coghlans 36" Arno Straps

These straps are only about 0.68" wide.The Amazon listing does not give the width. And the listing describes the straps as "strong." Upon receiving the product I was surprised to see how small and narrow these straps are. Just before this purchase I bought other straps on Amazon (for a lower price per foot) that are 1.5" wide and very robust. These straps cost a lot more per foot and they are only a little more than 1/2" wide. They are "miniature" straps, but the price is similar to full size straps. They are no where near as strong as the 1.5" wide straps I recently purchased.Here are the other straps I bought:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KP4APXCThey are 3 times as wide and much stronger. They are 6 ft long. The cost (as of now) is 90 cents per foot and (for my needs) those are better straps. These much smaller straps in this listing, in contrast, currently cost $1.34 per foot.If you want miniature straps, these seem OK. I have not used them long enough to determine if they are durable and reliable.My complaint is mostly with the lack of information in the Amazon listing. At the time of my purchase the only picture provided in the listing doesn't even include the packaging. The picture shows bare straps so it is not possible to determine the width or buckle size. (No existing reviews mention the width, which is why I want to highlight that fact.) The only existing information given is the length. This poor product description deserves a 1-star rating, but that might be too harsh for the product itself which seems OK (if one wants something this size). I'm giving a 3-star rating because these straps are not as good a value as the 1.5" wide straps I purchased.I hope this info helps others.

The straps on our backpacks were not long enough to secure our bear canister (bv500) to the outside of our packs. These worked great for just that task! Off we go to hike the Rogue River with our food safely in our canister, and secured on our packs!

These are the ones you wanna buy. The metal is great because many other products have crappy plastic that WILL break if you really try to cinch something down tight against your pack (or wherever).

The most affordable Arno straps available

They preform flawlessly, are plenty long for most application and cinch down tight. My only complaint is the build quality is a bit lacking. Still, a very good product.

Have been using Arno straps for years.They are strong, reliable, and a easy to use.

I like the metal buckles as opposed to the plastic thread-through buckles you see on these sometimes. These strike me as very sturdy and very strong.
