Built to last
Excellent battery. I bought it in 2020 and it’s now 2025. Still going strong and charges fast.

real deal batteies
i bought these over the generic brands because i wanted a product with no issues. batteries work great and really last - the 2 amp hr are light weight so great for the hand held tools. didn't last so long when used on the dyson vacuum - a little dissapointing

Last longer then I anticipated
Charges quickly, last a good amount of time using my impact driver and it's lighter then my 4 AH batteries , I'm removing one star because Makita batteries are over priced

If you carry your impact in a holster or do overhead work, this is worth it
I bought this primary for my impact. I got a tool belt but the 5AH batteries add so much weight it felt like a lead weight hanging off my hip. This battery fixes that problem at the cost of battery life of course. If you're holding a tool overhead a lot this battery also helps with fatigue.Hopefully it lasts, I have had 3 Makita batteries fail, two 5AH and one old 3AH. The 3AH I tried to charge when it was cold and Makita in it's infinite wisdom turns the battery into an expensive brick after it records 3 failed charge attempts. The other two failed to charge randomly, with one of those having the flashing battery charge level LEDs of doom. Makita replaced the 5AH ones under warranty. The first one turned around in a few days from the repair center, the second one took over a month. I think Makita has consolidated it's repair centers on the West coast and now it's taking much, much longer for service as the remaining repair centers are overloaded. If you're a pro who needs fast repair service beware.
