great for mats in long-haired cat
Our new long-haired Maine Coon had mats in her armpits when adopted, and the brush was too awkward to reach the spot. This comb was perfect and did the job in a matter of days. Since then, we have been using it to check for potential mats, and it is doing a good job of keeping her undercoat in check.

Bengal cat owners, only go for this if you have the long hair Bengal variety
Quality is great, but it's meant for a long-haired animal. Not great for short haired animals with no undercoat like Bengals.

Works great!
Works great on my long-haired Siamese cat who frequently develops mats. With regular use of this new comb, I expect there will be few mats, if any, in the future. I wish I'd found this years ago!

The cat likes it, isn't that the most important thing?
My cat has very long sheddy hair. you know, the kind that rolls across the kitchen floor and sticks to the couch like a tumble weed. The combs teeth are the perfect. distance It doesn't pull (you must be gentile) and really takes out a lot of hair, performing as advertised. It's a good size with a nice grip for your hand to stay comfortable. Plus it was less $ than the others lined up saying take me, take me!

Great for long haired cats
My Siberian cats are triple coated so getting to the inner coat can be challenging. This comb works well if you do sections at a time. Doesn’t pull, but works clumping hair out to prevent matting.Pros: ease to use, different length teeth, works out tanglesCons: none

Difficult to Comb Through Doodle Hair
I was super excited to find a comb I thought would ease the hand pain while brushing my doodles (I have two). Holding the long metal combs causes by hand to cramp. A comb with a rubber handle seemed ideal. However, the comb won't go through their hair. They had just been groomed and clipped so that wasn't the issue. The hair was fluffy and soft, but the comb got stuck - in 1/2" hair!!! I couldn't even get it to comb through their longer silky ear hair. Hmmm?? I think the tines are too close for doodle curls. If you have a silky haired dog or cat this comb might work well. But so far it is a no go with my doodle pups.
